Dr. Dre inspired me to start lifting weights.

Future me. More specifically, future me that isn’t such a fucking fatass.
big one for me at the moment is also derek poundstone, its good to see strongmen who arent just massive fat guys who are also strong. theyre legit athletes now, leaving most old school guys behind
When I was a kid, Van Damme made me take up TKD. To actually start lifting weights and busting my ass though, my first real inspiration was Eddie Guerrero. I figured it was more realistic than, say, Batista.
Later I discovered MMA and… Fedor Emilianenko.
Now it’s John Cena or John Morrison. (I had my gf pick out a picture - she found two.)
Wendler… mans down to earth, strong as fuck and cool as shit!

I had all the typical action movie influences that come from being a kid in the 80s.
However, seeing Wanderlei Silva fight is what finally inspired me to get my shit together and start lifting and training martial arts.

And this guy

And this guy, too
When I see people bigger or stronger than me it’s a motivator. It’s like “Wow, fuck that guy, I’m gonna be bigger than him.”
Also, when I find out a woman is stronger than me (which at this point is pretty often) it motivates me. It’s the chauvinist in me.
