Who's Funding the Mosque?

Video: “Three Things You Should Know about Islam”

I know most of you are pretty conversant in what this video is saying, but it’s a compact and lucid video you can send people who are apologists for Islam without knowing much about what that really means.

You are aware there are over 100 mosques in New York and there have been Mosques in New York for over 100 years?
So then, what’s your problem?

Why can’t this ONE, with REALLY exceptional circumstances, be built elsewhere without it meaning Americans are “intolerant?”
It should be transparent to most with common sense that if the people building this mosque did NOT have malevolent intentions, they’d gladly build their mosque somewhere else. Put yourself in the shoes of the mosque-builders: How could you possibly justify putting your mosque right there?

No, the people wanting to build this mosque right on Ground Zero are deliberately trying to pour salt in the wound.

It’s remarkable to me that anybody falls for it, but I guess Cockney Blue is a remarkable individual.

Tolerance, respect for religion, separation of church and state, et al, is an honorable pursuit, but if there was ever a specific situation that demanded the local gov’t be intolerant, this is it.

See that is the difference, I don’t care where it is built. If it is being built near ground zero to ‘rub salt in the wounds’ then you actually help it rub salt in the wounds with all the wailing and gnashing of teeth. If it is being built as a place to remember the hundreds of Muslims killed in the terrorist attacks then there should be no issue with it.

I don’t agree with any religion, I don’t follow any religion, I don’t apologise for any religion, I think they are all nonsense. There are degrees of nonsense of course but they are all made up nonsense. That said, I don’t think I have the right to tell anyone where they can or cannot build their religious building.

I used to live close to Finsbury Park in London where Abu Hamza was the Imam at the Mosque. He was preaching hatred and destruction of the west and all the rest of that bullshit. There were calls to stop him preaching because of the message he was putting out. I didn’t support those calls because stopping him speaking plays into his hands, and increases his popularity. Better to let him speak, publicise what he is saying and point out how retarded it is.

Directly opposing a force is normally not the best way to deal with it.

Sean Hannity gets on my nerves despite us agreeing on almost everything, but he has some good guests whom he should just let talk. Last night with Robert Spencer who is the honcho from jihadwatch.com and Mike Ghouse of the World Muslim Congress discussing the imam behind the mosque plan at ground zero. The Muslim congress guy is pushing the same idiotic suicidal ass kissing that CB is.

That’s just your hateful Ann-Coulter-fed half-brain talking.

Islam is a religion. Muslims just want a place of worship like everybody else. 9/11 was a tragic event but it’s time to move on.

Sorry, but it is time to learn from History. You give a Muslim an inch they take a mile. You want a place to worship go somewhere else. You already have over a 100 in New York. When will the Saudi’s allow a Christian Church to be built in Mecca right next to the asteroid?

Time to move on? Like there haven’t been any Islamic terror attacks in the world since 9/11?

This new one is not exactly a stroll out the door away either. The thing is far away from where most Muslims live. “Gee folks, let’s ride the subways for an hour and a half to go to the mosque! What? There’s one 3 blocks away? Ah to hell with that one, I want to ride the subway!!”

LOL!!!

LOL!!!
Patterson offered them state aid to build it further away from ground zero and they refused. They want it RIGHT THERE… period. Offer Rejected to Move Mosque Away From Ground Zero to 'State Property' | Fox News

Forgive, but never forget. I’m sure the Muslims don’t forget that the Church creamed them back in the day, either.

Interesting video. I know very little about the Qur’an, anyone have a good link that kind of breaks it down? Not wikipedia please, and no I will not read the Qur’an in its entirety right now (that will have to wait).

OK so have actually checked into this further. Firstly the Mosque site isn’t even at ground zero, it is a couple of blocks away, secondly there is another Mosque already in the area that has been there since before the twin towers were even built (before Cushing starts foaming at the mouth and claiming they obviously don’t need another one, firstly how the hell would he know and secondly why does he have the right to decide that?)
