Who You Jivin With That Cosmik Debris

My new weight loss watch (damn why do some pics get so big on here). Also good for diving up to 200 metres, but can’t push any buttons.

Cav, I’ll try but don’t think I can do much else while in that pose.

Swimming at lunch,
16 laps (or 32 lengths) in 18:41 mins

Used my new watch for recording laps. It actually did motivate me to swim faster, also I can never remember how many lengths I do, so the lap recording was very helpful. Although some of the time was used to adjust semi broken nose plug.

10 x 3 Fatloss - 10 x 3 For Fat Loss

Had to start Day 4 on Day 1 because of the equipment selections and the crowd in the gym.

DB Split Squats (instead of BS)
16kg ea

KB Bent Rows
16kg ea

DB DL’s
18kg ea

Military Press
10kg ea

10 mins cycle sprints, (on 10th level, sprints 3 bars)

Managed to even get no more than 45’s between exercises. Not sure if I like being a slave to watching the time so much, didn’t feel as connected but might get over that. I actually could have done more weight but I’m a bit worried about seizing things up. The Dl’s & presses could have definitely gone heavier. Taking 3 reps per set did leave me feeling fresh for the next set while lifting heavier than I would for 6 reps (no brainer I know).

That’s one spanky watch. The pictures are big to emphasize the awesomeness of the depicted subject. In this case the watch, but more importantly your ultra blue top. So blue… very blue…

How is diving to 200 meters supposed to be good for weight loss? Or am I being overly analytical?

Compression

That just makes you denser, not lighter.

Touche… How about thermogenics? The cold, deep water forcing the body to metabolize energy to stay warm.

Ok fellas, guess I didn’t quite explain the weight loss part of the watch  Decreasing rest periods for lifting/conditioning & motivating me to really watch the time/lengths when swimming. And besides when diving to deeper depths I can burn a few more calories by shivering and teeth chattering, actually even just in 10 metres below the surface I can achieve the freeze to death experience.

Swimming again with diving club yesterday in bigger pool, there was too much messing around though so my timing wasn’t consistent, only 9 laps, don’t know the full time because I can’t seem to work the watch properly.

Yoga at lunch time. I love yoga after getting DOMs from lifting, the muscles get all tingly. And it feels like I worked my glutes pretty well on Tuesday with the split squats.

Jump roping this evening, and I’ll do the sprinting in the park tomorrow. It’s been ages since I’ve done any sprinting though.

Those watches can be tricky, especially if you accidentally hit the split button. By the time you get it to stop you’ve accidentally cleared your times. Never got the hang of them myself.

I’ll concede swimming and diving is an excellent cardio workout.

Fri:
Swimming, er can’t remember but it was 15 laps in 17 minutes, got to do the fast lane though so there was an extra 2 metres per lap than on Tues.

No sprinting, so did 10 minutes of DB swings & jump roping. Forgot to brace my core until the last round from the KB swings.

Sat:
Me likey the last workout. Was good and hard, well except until I got the bench pressing, my right shoulder still a bit iffy with horizontal pressing, but think I’ll still stick with it as long as it doesn’t hurt and I keep it light. I think I’m just about sold on the 10 x 3, the 7th set always seems to be the best.

Hmm silly me did not warm up properly except to do some 40kg & 50kg Dl’s. Too much in a rush.

Sumo DL’s
60kg
Took shoes off for this, running shoes have no place under a 60kg bar

Pull downs
12th pin

Clean & Front Squats (1 clean per 3 FS)
30kg

BB Close grip benching (shoulder ouchy)
20kg (but last two sets did 6 reps to speed things up & the weight was light)

10 mins jump roping. They were actually quite easy, but left foot lags a bit.

Sun:
Fuck my lungs Sprinting 10:30 mins
30 sec sprint, 1 min walk

Going to be getting a bike soon, a hybrid, yay, want NOW!! Maybe a bike outfit too. Found one where the handle bars help me to sit a bit more upright. Not quite as well as a cruiser bike but better than the straight bar. And she’s very pretty w/ a pannier. Won’t be using it to go around town just yet, going to get a better lock.

Just some random ranting…
Ok I know this sounds silly, and I would probably slap some common sense into any friend for saying this, but its been a week of low carbing and I’m extremely impatient to see results. I had to have some carbs on Friday, I got really pouty/cranky the other day, felt better after some beans and white bread though.

My neck is tight/hurts and had some weird pain in my right ab/hip. Whinge whinge, also my immune system still doesn’t feel like it is firing on all cylinders. Woke up a few times with itchy throat & post nasal drip. Been downing some vitamin C & stuff every time, it then goes away for a few days.

Swimming lunch, 16 laps 18:17minutes. Had to pace myself with a slower person, plan on beating it by a minute more next week. Ended 18 laps 19:17.

Meh felt run down again on Tuesday so I did this yoga video instead. Made myself a very spicy asian curry with lots of chili, turmeric, prawns, pinto beans, roasted carrots & lemongrass.

Glad I listened to my body on Tuesday, had a good workout on Wed night even after a stress day of client meetings and not eating properly.

10 x 3 (once again I like this rep/set scheme, every 1st rep of each set is nice and fresh, the 10th set always hard, still takes about 7 sets to get properly into each exercise)

DB Split Squats (instead of BS)
20kg ea (oops went up to high, mainly hurt my toe from trying to balance the back foot)

KB Bent Rows
16kg ea

DB DL’s
20kg ea

Military Press
12kg ea

10 mins cycle sprints, (on 10th level, sprints 3 bars)
couldn’t remember what the regime was so just did 35 sec sprint with 55 sec slow pedal, I was supposed to just add 90 more secs to it. Oh well.

Proper nutrition and Vit D3 go a long way…

Give it a whirl!

Hey thanks for dropping by. Working on the Vit D alright, we don’t get much sun. Also I think I only get about 1 out of 4 nights good sleep. I got a good night’s sleep two nights in a row so far though. And taking a nice break from work around Easter time so the stress levels should go down.

Finally got the bike yay.

DL’s really need to be done on weekends so I can get to the oly bar when the gym isn’t so crowded…anyway finally got it on Fri night. Had to politely with a smile, ask a guy to please move so I can get the bar. He was nice enough to help me but then proceeded to tell me there were still the ‘other’ bars over there. And while I can appreciate that he didn’t quite know that I needed to use 60kg on a proper bar and those ‘other’ bars FUCKING suck, he really didn’t need to say anything. It’s been awhile since I’ve had to hear any sort of remark like that, that if I was a guy probably wouldn’t hear, so it just bugged me a little.

Anyway usual 10 x 3, but 40 sec rest between sets.

Sumo DL’s
60kg

Pull downs
12th pin

Clean & Front Squats (1 clean per 3 FS)
30kg

BB Close grip benching (shoulder ouchy)
Meh running out of time & shoulder still ouchy so did…
4 x 6 - 20kg

5 mins sloppy jump roping and only had 5 min jacuzzi time.

Yay on the bike!

You need to post a pic of it.
