Ron Paul or nobody.

We seem to have a disproportionate number of Ron Paul supporters in this forum, relative to the country as a whole.
Maybe there’s a correlation between Libertarianism and bodybuilding ![]()

“But when you give a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, and you will be blessed.” (Luke 14:13)
Nothing in there about the gov’t confiscating money to provide the banquet…
The “Render unto Ceaser” quote is taken grossly out of contest. Is suggest you read “Rabbinic Rhetoric and the Tribute Passage” by David Owen-Ball. Jesus is NOT advocating paying taxes.

I did not think Jesus was advocating taxes , he probably was more resigned to the fact it is easier to go with the flow , But in the spirit of the Christ ( THAT I KNOW )he would prefer taxing to feed the poor rather than taxing to conquer the World

Maybe the Jesus party does not want to lose control of the party, people believe what ever you tell them Via FAUX news or Limpdick or Beck. You could sell that the moon landing was a fraud to 30% of America with those 3 sources

I doubt He would advocate either.

The government DOES steal.
When is the last time you saw the government doing something right?
Pit,
Here in Cali, we have probably the biggest government in the union, by far, and it it NOTHING close to being right. There is a proposition right now being offered by the Dems that would prevent taxpayers from voting on a tax increase or extension. Can you imagine ! Taxpayers would have no voice (literally) on whether or not to raise or extend taxes. This is being done because “Democracy” (that evil thing) has shown that the people don’t want anymore taxes. But it’s only “evil” when the vote doesn’t go the way of the government. You see, our legislators wanted a public vote on taxes, they screamed for it, but when EVERY SINGLE POLL REGARDLESS OF IT BEING LEFT OR RIGHT, showed that 70% of people would vote down more taxes. That is across party lines too. So now, legislators claim the people are “confused” when voting no on new taxes, and want to remove their voice by vote
If that isn’t the most goddamned thing a government can do to a people, I don’t know what is. Should this pass, I would be willing to bet the Capitol will be stormed, and politicians will be carried out nude.
Pitbull, and any other Libs loving big government, answer me this…
The IDEA behind government is that it provides services to the people, but what do you do when it turns beyond corrupt? What do you do when it can pass any law it wants at leisure, and has an army (police/law enforcement) to back it up? That is what is happening here. We are fighting Dems, Republican sell-outs, and Unions who all want more taxes, when the people say no. This is fucking war in this state right now. Teachers crying foul protesting, students screaming about tuition rates going up by 32%, gas prices jumping because of the Global Varming Law (I said Varming because that is how the Sperminator called it when he passed it).
Government, particularly this government, is not for the people. Unions pay off Dems, Corporations pay off Repubs, and in the middle getting ass-fucked without lube are we the taxpayers.

Hmmm…taxation without representation? I think that happened somewhere once…
I was speaking specifically about the fed, Cali has some serious problems , I do not think the same solutions that would work in AZ would work in Cali or OH or Fla or the FED for that matter.
One problem a Democracy has is so many solutions to one problem, you can see it on this board.
Immigration is one such problem. You have people from the whack job right that thinks it would be fine to murder illegal immigrants , then you have people like me (I call my self the center) pass reasonable laws then enforce them , then you have the so called liberal that wants to make anybody that wants to be an American , be one and then support them.
This is a democracy the majority should rule , Americans have to quit listening to what the news tells us to believe , it is called critical reasoning
I do not think of myself as a liberal , I am pro liberty as long as it hurts no one ,I am pro gun rights , I am for the right to choose .
I think that social conservative is a term the Jesus party coined for controlling the moral decisions that others make
I think Government should pool our money to get us things we could not get for our selves, roads , bridges water, sewer and other infrastructure . I think health Care could be in there , no matter what Health Care needs to be restructured, costs are out of control

You don’t live in a democracy, you live in a representative republic. There is a substantial difference. As a citizen I would hope you knew this.

You might want to read Section 8 Article 1 of the US Constitution, then follow that up with the 10th Amendment. What you think the Fed Gov’t should do has no bearing on anything.
Try and pull up American Republic, I do understand your point , but in America we call our selves a Democracy.
If absolutely necessary I will read your article and section , but I believe we are back to being a democracy and if the Majority of Americans would want a Government Run Health care system are you telling me the Constitution would forbid this
