Seriously what planet are you on where Lee Priest and other bodybuilders of ANY era got fatter then Lee Priest was in the KFC pic? This is literally just you saying something without any evidence to back up your claims. Not only that but you claim Lee Priest gets FATTER then that EVERY off season as do others. If you continue to present your personal and frankly unfounded belief on this matter as fact myself and others are going to continue to challenge you to present evidence.
Also before you talk about how there is no evidence because the internet wasn’t popular and there is no pics from back then blah blah blah just remember that we have plenty of Pics of other guys who competed before the time of the internet so that really is a lame excuse. Not to mention Lee Priest himself competed every year until 2006 well into the internet era. So if he got fatter then that every off season and it wasn’t just a one time thing please post pics, after all it should be easy he did look FATTER then that every year right?[/quote]
Believe what you will. I think you may have made the mistake of thinking I was trying to prove something to you.
You have an article above you that says he used to get to close to 300lbs in the off season when he competed closer to 200lbs (I think the heaviest he ever got on stage was about 220lbs).
You have Swolle’s personal accounts. Unless you are calling him a liar as well.
You have a picture of him during the off season (the KFC photos) when he is clearly no where near 300lbs which means he got heavier than that if he hit near 300lbs.
So hey, believe what you want. It isn’t like anyone is wasting the effort to lie about this.
In fact, doesn’t he participate on a bodybuilding forum? If so, go ask yourself if you need that much proof.
He bulked up like that through much of the mid 90’s. I didn’t see him staying leaner until years after he had been considered a regular.
Moving on, here are some more off season vids when he was usually not that far out from contests:

Yes the article also said he got to 285-300 WITH ABS. He sure as hell doesn’t have any sign of abs in the KFC pics. Also we don’t know what his weight was in the KFC pics so saying he wasn’t 285-300 is just guess work. Of course bodybuilding articles and magazines are famous for inflating the weight of competitors so the 285-300 could just be an exaggeration.
As for the personal account Swolle says Lee Priest ate like 5 plates of food. Yet in the article Lee Priest himself says he rarely eats out and when he does he doesn’t eat a ton in each sitting. So you have two rather contradictory statements there.
Also i never said he didn’t bulk up more then most but i have also never seen any other pics or videos of pro bodybuilders looking as fat as he did in the KFC pics.
Anyway since there is mysteriously never been any other pics or videos of him in that shape the only real hard evidence would be asking Lee Priest himself if he frequently got fatter then he was in the KFC pics. Point being we could both find a bunch of second hand evidence to contradict each other endlessly like in this article. So unless you care enough to ask Lee Priest himself i guess it can be chalked up to something we believe but can’t prove.
