You rock ben, be interesting to see how much weight you can end up doing with the closer stance squat.
How have I not seen this log before? You are a straight BEAST Ben. Good luck with your recovery - will be following from now on!
@zenontheterrible-thank you I’m interested too haha I am hoping to work my way up towards the 600 lb range and then maybe take a shot at the USAPL national record. nothing says legit status like the most anal retentive fed in powerlifting haha
@ Jab1 glad to have you along for the ride, I appreciate the kind words and thank you for the support!
Had a small window for training today and so I decided that I might as well make it worth it. I feel like it was

All in all a phenomenal day, the numbers are slowly starting to come back and the pain from the spinal problems is decreasing. I have been trying to gauge my progress to plan my next competition schedule, but I’m still figuring out where I think my squat will be. I’ll try to get a video update soon to go into my plans and how I anticipate this comeback process panning out
video turned out SICK!!!
glad to see you back and getting into it once again.
Awesome that your back at it. Always inspirational to see updates here.
Just gotta say ur a fucking beast man… keep it up
325 with the pause was really impressive-- great speed, especially considering the extra long pause
Physique is looking good too man-- sorta reminds me of this guy called alpha who used to post here
Keep killing it brother!
Glad to see you’re back into it hard after a set-back. You rock, mate!
Hey guys, I’m Eric I’m very new to this site. I have been training for about 7 years since I was 13. I did mainly bodybuilding type of splits up til about 2 years where I switched my focus to Powerlifting. I compete in the 165 class and plan to do my first full-power meet in Aug. in IPA Fed. I am currently using Sheiko 29 to get my body used to the volume ( I love high volume training) & It’s been going very well so far I plan on doing the Master of Sport Sheiko after 4 weeks of 29, almost done my 2nd week at the moment.
Ben, I have been watching your videos on for quite sometime, I too did westside until I suffered a lower back injury. I’m now finally better & am very excited to do full-power meets. I am pretty new to powerlifting. My current Bench is 285 & my Squats & deadlift are 315 (i’m taking it slow for back to adjust properly). Pre-injury my Squat was 405 & Deadlift was 495. Finally glad to Squat & Deadlift again!
Awesome! I’ve been keeping up with your vids bro. Hope you’re proud. Excited to see what this meet prep brings.
Yes! I’m looking forward to a good comeback.
thanks guys, I was debating whether or not to actually post this next one but then I decided that I have no reason not too. It shows the other passion in my life, music. I put on my senior voice recital last weekend and this piece was my last song I brought up my a cappella group and my good friend Nicole to finish out right… hope you all don’t mind me sharing the other side of my life

DUUUUUUDEEE, it’s your log, you can post whatever da hell you want. Especially since you lift so awesome and whatnot.
Glad you’re back posting so I can go back to lurking.
Getting healthier faster now adding reps and weight to everything with less pain! 2 weeks ago I back squatted 500x1 without a belt last week I doubled it and then this week I hit a triple. Bench is moving along at about the same pace despite the fact that I’m sitting under 200 lbs again. I hit my first military press in months yesterday where I hit a less than beautiful but very easy BW press. and then the real story is how my deadlift is starting to come back. 2 weeks ago I hit a 605x5 last week I hit a 655 single and then this afternoon on my third session in 3 days I pulled that same weight for 4 reps. My core work and BW work has really started to pay off, last week I hit my first ever set of more than 6 muscle ups and now I can hit a set of 10 unbroken any day! I’m really excited to see some actual forward progress again… Finally!!!
Glad to you have you back here posting man. One of my biggest inspirations, get healthy soon brother.
I love the jedi situps haha. Great work, Ben!
