Who Grows a Fruit/Veg Garden?

Someone should hybridize the two.

Then you could make a pizza that would would give you the munchies so you make a pizza that gives you the munchies…

When I went to visit my sister in Seattle, I wanted to visit a dispensary since my state doesn’t have them (yet), and when I finished buying what I wanted, the cashier told me “go outside, there’s a taco truck at the end of the parking lot, give them this receipt and you’ll get two free tacos”. I looked him dead in the eye, said “You’re a fucking genius”, walked out and ordered six tacos.

That is brilliant.

Also explains the explosion of food trucks in the past couple of years. I’m still a sucker for street/festival food, but not nearly as bad as I was.

Would you be willing to share your zucc salsa recipe? I’ve never done that combo and would love to try!!

That is the one I use. we adjust the heat a bit. My bf is not a fan of spicy salsa and I am. One batch will have more heat.

Thank you! I am going to give it a whirl!

Loads of basil this year. I’ll likely have to dry much of it.

Have any of you gotten those enormous green onions with the odd tops?

First batch of pickled jalapeños … just in time for pork carnitas on Monday

So dang good

Are you talking Egyptian walking onions? I want to try one but I don’t really have the space.

@cyclonengineer I’m not sure what kind. I’ll try to remember to get a pic later or tomorrow. Now I’ve learned that the tops coming up is called bolting.

My wife does 90 percent of this garden stuff, so I’m clueless.

I like your pfp Brick.

My garden is not pretty but it is generous.

Corn salsa
Zucchini salsa
Tomato base

This all looks beautiful!

Do you like the ground cherries ? I tried growing some this year but the container I had them in got flooded out.

We love them. It is the kind of stuff that you just eat as you pick them if you don’t have enough.

You pick them when they fall off the plant.

Our favorite is the jam with hot pepper in it.
