This is what the greenhouse looked like last Monday morning.
Before the storm hit I bought a heavyish tarp to help hold some of the heat in. It covered at half to three quarters.
Power was off and on the first couple days then off on the coldest three days. I didn’t have room to bring all the plants in the house so I stuck most of them in my make shift germination chamber. Which is made from recycled packing materials from a friend’s bathroom remodel, a dog crate from another friend, and an old blanket. When we lost power I lit an old oil lamp and put it in there for heat. They were not warm but it was enough to keep them from freezing, so it got the job done.
They are a little leggy from lack of sunlight but should straighten themselves up just fine.
I am going with a 75-80% survival rate and all things considered… I am good with that!
