Mystery solved.
Acorn squash. Whichbis weird because I haven’t planted acorn squash but once and certainly nowhere near this came up… lol Nature, ya just never know.

Going to the redneck mall (Tractor Supply) and pick up a fence charger, extend the posts with pvc pipe and put a hot wire around the top. We’ll see if that will discourage them. If not… I love backstrap
