Well, if you’re hiding a battery operated detonator there, I assume it would generate some wattage in excess of “normal” body heat.
Either that or someone was just looking for an excuse to pat you down…

If it is the millimeter wave detector machine where you put your hands up over your head, it will flag anything that doesn’t fit an algorithm for what it expects. It will flag guys with impressive mid bodies, and it will show up on their screen as groin area.
In addition, those machines are sex binary. They will flag trans women if the operator selects woman (I think it is an operator selected thing), because the machine finds the penis and thinks that it is something else since it thinks it is looking at women.
