I always put back my weights and rearrange the dumbbells when the dumbasses can’t match the number on the thing they’re holding with the number on the rack in front of them. I do these things because I’m an adult.
I hate when I get a back pump from re-racking. Sucks man.
I always put them back. Would suck cleaning the other peoples messes. Just start putting up a lot of signs?

whats the protocol on calling ppl out to pick up their shit? this little 5’5" fucker w/ a beater and a snow hat (we’re in florida…) always leaves 405 on the fucking squat rack then goes and does hamstring curls, never to return. if you’re reading this you little shit i fucking hate you
He’d still be an asshole if he was 6’3", douche.

lol
I always clean my weight, and I’m a total prick about calling out the douchefags that don’t do the same. No, no, don’t tell me that 135 is a standard load on any bar in there, because some little girl or littler boy is not going to be able to move it.
Really, I get irrationally angry about the asshats that think they’re too fucking good to clean the damned weight. I…
I’m going to meditate.
Always put away and then re-rack the shit the previous cock left on the floor.
What pisses me off are the FUCKERS WHO DROP THE DUMBBELLS! But I figure at the gym I was at if the staff didn’t say anything then it wasn’t my business.

It’s even worse when you work there. Then everyone feels the need to complain about it like it’s your fault people are lazy.[/quote]
Yeah, I had a guy mention it to me last week. I apologized, said people are lazy and I went and helped clean up. He said I didn’t have too, but I get paid to be there, he doesn’t.
We have signs posted everywhere, no one bothers to be courteous anymore.
I will say that I leave 135 on the bench, becaues we have 6 of them.
Whoot! for this thread! This putting the weights away thing has been bothering me for some time now.
It gets pretty bad. Sometimes when I get into the weight room and half the dumbbell racks are empty and the dumbbells are strewn ALL over the fucking place, beside benches, under them, over by the FUCKING treadmills. Like some kind of mine field. Well, I get so mad I just boil. Almost need to start throwing the weights at people.
Maybe it is OCD like some other people here said. I think of my self as a gym Nazi for caring so much. Evidently no one else does so why do I? Putting weights away seems like just common sense or courtesy.
There are signs in the room and even a giant board with rules on it that includes putting weights away and being nice to people. Oh and rule #8: HAVE FUN ![]()
(*wipes vomit from mouth)
To any little douch-fucks in my gym who see this: FUCK YOU AND DIE!
Starting to get pissed off just thinking about it so I’ll leave you with that.
I have a home gym setup. I don’t have a weight tree or anything, but I always unload the bar. Sometimes I’ll stack the weights or line them up but I’m usually too exhausted. And no one else is ever going to set foot in my weight room, so my messy system works lol.
man i love having my own squat rack and bench. I never have to put one weight back.

x2 Someone at my gym dropped the 130s and one broke and they never replaced it so we only have one 130lb dumbbell. Argh! If you can lift them you can set them down, right?! I always use the “rock forward with the dumbbells on your knees” method to stand back up and put back even the heaviest dumbbells.
I leave a plate on the bar whatever I’m doing. If you cannot do 1 plate, you can use the extra volume taking the weights off.
If they are women, they should be escorted to a kitchen nearby.

Exactly the same for me in my home gym. For some reason having an open area with weights around it works for me…
If i’m at a public gym, I pick up all the time, which can actually be a pain in the ass if you are alone and doing anything off the ground…the worst I see is people consistently putting the DB’s in the wrong place. Getting people to put plates with plates of similar sizes is a lost cause I’ve come to realize. Is it hard? No. Are people lazy? You bet your ass.
I close one night a week, and at the end of the night the DBs are always fucked up.
75 lb ones in the 20 slot. 6 pairs on the ground, one 80 lb in the 90 slot, at least a coupled rolled under the the racks.
I think DBs in the wrong slot bother me more than plates on the ground. Cause you actually went out of your way to be lazy.
I leave a pair of 45’s on the bar. Almost everyone in my gym warms up with it.

I do.
my wife would kick my ass if I didn’t.
I heard Hitler didn’t put his weights away.
i used to work at my gym and 50% of my time was spent putting weights up or making others put their weights up. the fun in scolding college kids like children to put up their toys after their done playing…

Man! That little fucker must come up here to PA a couple times a week. Wife beater and blue snow hat in July. Weights all over the fuckin place too. He’s lucky he doesnt ever say anything to me or get in my way - I would shove a 45 up his ass – sideways!!
I put everything away, unless it’s the leg press, which I’ll leave 45 per side on… I’ll leave a 45 on the seated calf machine as well, but never anything on the bench, as too many people can’t do a 45 per side (guys included)…
As for the guy that leaves 400 or so on the squat, I’d walk up to him and tell him to re-rack his weights so everyone else could use it, and I’ve no quams about doing it…
I too must have OCD, for I’m re-racking all the plates and making sure they’re in the right spots…
But the things that drive me over the edge are idiots that are yacking on their cell phones in the gym…
I brought my phone into the gym once and it was only cause I was waiting for a call from a doctor about something important and even then, I took the call outside and came back in when I was done…
I sooooo need to talk the wife into converting our spare room into a home gym…
