Who Believes BP ?

I am curious who believes BP that the majority of oil is gone ? Also I have ocean front property for sale in Buckeye AZ

You do know it is the Government scientists that are saying most of the oil is gone, Right?

It is not BP saying it. And yes I do. The information that we get is from the mainstream media. They ring up scientists asking them what the worst case scenarios are and then report eddited highlights to make it sound even worse.

The scientists of course like the ego stroke of being quoted on the news so compete against each other to come up with the most alarmist statements possible.

Considering about 70% of it must evaporate in to benzene and other inert chemical compounds, technically, most of it is gone.

Your right , but I don’t care if Jesus Christ said it , they sprayed chemicals on it that makes it sink. That oil is laying in the ocean and will harass the gulf if not the whole ocean for years to come . I think the word is dispersed

I was only correcting your post. You stated BP was stating something, but in fact it was Obamanation that was stating it.

Here’s what the dispersants actually do…

You did know that crude oil is biodegradable right? And the warm waters of the gulf provided a wonderful environment for said bacteria to thrive. Most of it went away naturally, though there is still about 1/4 left which is some where around 50 million gallons. There is no doubt the impact is far less than previously thought. That doesn’t make it a good thing.

Oil may degrade but not in 90 days , get real

dump a gallon in you swimming pool or on your driveway or anywhere you want and see how long it takes for nature to degrade it . When things evaporate , what is left is more dense and less likely to evaporate . They made the oil sink and now are saying “WHAT OIL” ? when more oil beaches they will say that is not from BP’s oil spill and there will be no way to prove it

Americans are so gullible .

I would be most concerned with it’s effect on the food chain, but as most scientists are saying, it’s too early to tell what will be affected by this.

I see no reason to question anything that comes out of the BP PR department.

That’s just a warm up so when they drill a new well just down down the way from the old one, people will be quiet and not get too uppity. You don’t think they’re going to leave that massive field untapped,do you?

Edit- speak of the devil:

I live in Birmingham Alabama and have been to the beach for a total of 3 weeks this summer. From both pensecola to mobile and I have yet to see any oil. I saw a skimmer (modded shrimp boat) way out in the distance one time with my buddies camera (he is a profession photographer and has some crazy lenses for it) but other then that I have yet to see any oil.

So yes, I believe them.

You do realize that the amount of oil dumped in the gulf is equivalent to a coke can of oil dummped into a pro sporting arena filled with water right??

I love that you think “They made the oil sink” Need some more foil for your hat??

I think in the grand scheme the dispersal ability of the trillions of trillions of gallons of water comnbined iwth naturally occuring life forms that thrive on crud eoil in the oceans is more than capable of dealing with the spill itself.

The danger is the oil that makes landfall because the dispersal affect and life forms are not present here - and the existing plant and animal life is incapabe of dealing with the oil. anyway . . my two cents

Well I don’t have access to crude, but I ma pretty sure if I dumped any in to a swimming pool it would stay right where it is, because it’s full of chemicals to stop bacteria from growing.

Second, it’s the governement saying that 75% of the oil is gone, so it’s Uncle Sam you are calling a bunch of liars.

Third, how is the oil made to sink? Care to provide a link or something to back that up? Nothing I have seen or read asserts any such thing.
