Felt week today. Slept like shit and didn’t eat well. Had to be at a new job and go see my girl at the hospital before my shift so shuffled everything around and wound up cutting the clusters a set short to get out in time. Haven’t gained any weight yet and aside from today I’ve been puting it away. Guess I gotta eat more. Do feel like I’m getting stronger though.

Edit: Wanted to add that I bartend with the welterweight champ of the Renegade fighting organization. Today was my first day and he wasn’t there, but everyone was talking about how he just dominated his fight this past weekend. Apparently he’s undefeated.

WHAT THE FUCK??? Got 245 for 8 sets of 3 a few weeks ago and 225 for sets of 5 on close grip LAST WEEK and couldn’t even get 245 for 3 today. Felt week and drained and had no juice. I’m supposed to be getting stronger, not having a 10%+ dropoff in performance. Has anyone else on this program experienced anything like this? Point blank, if I don’t beat 275 on my max test in 2 weeks I’m gonna scrap the program. This is bullshit. Felt like I’ve gotten stronger up until today and BAM! Hopefully others can chime in with some positive stories/experiences relating to this.

I interpreted ‘2x3 heavy’ as ‘heavy for speed bench’ aka 65%.

If 275 is your max, 245 is pushing 90%. You think you’d be able to do 90% for 3 reps after 8 sets of speed work?

I don’t know, I may be wrong… maybe someone else might have an opinion… or shit, ask Cressey.

Good workout. Been eating and sleeping less due to work and school so I’ve been losing weight. I wake up at 172-ish which is gay. Would like to end the program between 175-178. Gotta start finding ways to put it down with the new schedule.

Done with the cluster portion of this phase. I’m definitely stronger through straight sets. Don’t know if it’s 'cause I don’t get some kind of “rebound” with the clusters by reracking between reps or what but don’t feel like I progressed at all with these. But, do feel like my muscluar endurance and work capacity increased. Two more hard workouts this week then “coasting” 'til next Thursday when I max. Ya’ll be good.

Been at my boys bachelor party all night. Hitting ya’ll up from the post game festivities.Awesome workout. Chalk last week up to feeling like shit and me being a girl. At my all time strongest - benching 315 with pinkies on the ring - I was close gripping for sets of 6-8. I was almost 20lbs heavier then. I now do all benching [inclining,whatever] with a much closer grip, no less than 3" inside of the rings, and I feel as strong as I ever have. I’m starting to slowly gain weight, but I’m looking denser according to others. Can’t wait to max next week. I honestly think 295 might be mine. We’ll see…

She is man, thanks. The last hospital visit really scared her. The docs kept saying the first three months were the most important in terms of potential problems related to the transplant, and she got sick literally a week after the three month mark. She was doing so well we all kinda “forgot” how serious this is. Having said that she’s hands down the toughest person I know and is back to kickin’ ass and takin’ names.

Flash, what’s good man? Sorry, haven’t been on the site in a while. How is the knee doing? Hopefully much better and stronger.

Playoffs coming up man, I’m excited! Your Rockets look good, let’s see if they can hold off SA for the division, that would be huge. I’m excited for the future of the Thunder, all the pieces are in place, and we have five first round draft picks in the next two years. Lot of promise in the years to come.

T, what’s good homey? No worries bro. It’s coming man. Tried dunking the ball with two hands tonight and was a good 3" off from cramming it in. Coupla rub-ins in a row and called it, haha. Still a little scared to really “push”, so gonna chill on the balls out jumping for a bit.

I’d like to see 'em get a good big either through the draft or giving up some picks. There’s a kid coming out of Ohio State named BJ Mullens. Didn’t have a great year statistically, but kid is a serious athlete for a 7-footer and has the potential to be a monster. I think he’d be the perfect fit for ya’lls squad, and ya’ll got a shot to snag him in the draft.

Still not ready for focused jumping yet, so played a little ball and grabbed the rim a few times. Tried dunking the ball with 2 hands, but got nothing but rub-ins. Just not ready yet, but it’s coming.

Did one set of reverse lunges, but for some reason these KILL my knees, so called it.

Monday and Tuesday’s workouts omit the clusters and call for some “easy” reps with lower volume to prep myself for the max on Thursday. I’d be happy with 285, but want 295 so bad I can taste it. Bodyweights up to 174. This program is tough, and sometimes it leaves me feeling drained, but I’m really enjoying it. Ya’ll be good.

Had a long day. School from 9am-2pm then work from 4pm-10:30pm. Went and lifted after work and the whole thing took about 20 minutes. Felt good to get an easy session in. Gonna do something similar for lower manana and rest up to kill it on Thursday. Ya’ll be easy.

Was supposed to do some easy stuff for lower, but wanted to test my box squat. Put a 12" box on a stripped down aerobic step, so guessing about 15". In the mirror I was about an inch above parallel.
