Which Would Be Better...

Hey Peeps…

OK, I’m really trying to dial in my diet and I think I’m just about there…

After my work out, and my post workout shake. Which would be better for lunch. About an hour afterwards:

  1. A salad with 4 oz of chicken made with a flax seed oil and olive oil dressing.

or

  1. A 4 oz chicken wrap made with a sprinkle of low fat cheese, lettuce on a wheat tortia wrap.

I’m sure the salad is better for none workout days, but what do you all think???

Currently I’m eating low carbs and I’m trying to drop some fat…

Thanks…

LJ

P.S. Thanks for all the posts about my cottage cheese issue… : ) Last night I ate some with celery and that wasn’t all that bad, but I’m going to try some of those other suggestions… Except the salmon one… : | Thanks though…

Neither! Chicken and brown rice or something similar would be best. However, when I am trying to cut, I keep my pwo carbs isolated to my Surge. A big factor in that is also that I work out in the evening and don’t want more carbs than necessary at night. On wo days when I am trying to cut I will have my oats and carb countdown milk with breakfast and keep the rest of the carbs to pwo shake (not counting veggies, a couple apples, etc.) On non wo days I have my oats in the morning and then a small amount of carbs at my 2nd or 3rd feeding. On some days I will eat more carbs on an intuitive basis, but that is the basic plan I follow.
If you are interested in still trying to build some muscle or you work out in the morning, I would say go with the wrap. Otherwise the salad.
Oh, and what’s up with 4 oz. of chicken? I didn’t check your profile, but I never eat less than 8 oz. at a sitting if I want to have any chance of making my protein requirements.
