What do you do when you max out on that machine? Do you try different Rep schemes? Im close to maxing out on standing Face pulls im thinking after i Max im gonna go and do Sitting Face Pulls(which are alot harder for me).
I have been experimenting with extra reps, slower reps, ensuring perfect form, etc. but at some point you have to move forward with alternate free weight exercises to keep growing.

And damn: I would feel like Superman too if I could max out the incline bench press.

Most except the leg press that has 4 pegs and one vertically on top.

It can hold like 10 plates a peg, and if you use the big 100 pound plates that are tall and not wide, it can hold more weight than just about anyone can handle.

Cant max the hammer strength incline chest or shoulder press either it holds like 6 plates.
5 plates. Most I have seen only hold 5.

I thought many DC people use peg extenders? for HS machines to get more plates in, for example HammerInclinewith8plates - YouTube

Edit: My mistake, I see he is using the Seated HS not the Lying HS machine.

I maxed out one of those seated low row machines with its own weight stack.

I’m not counting it though.

It’s max was 20 x 10lb plates. lol. woooooooooooo.

I stopped using that one quickly.

the incline bench machine at my gym maxes out at 540, it’s one of those ones that pivots and has your arms come together at the top of the movement, I maxed that sucker out. funny because I’m not even halfway there on the flat bench machine. I don’t know if the little pneum cylinder thingy on the base gives an assist or what.

I was always under the impression that you should be able to max out most non plate loaded (HS style) machines after a few years of training, at least when fresh.

All the machines at Curves.

the pink dumbells

First machine I maxed out was a seated dip machine that was in my old gym which has since closed. I don’t remember the exact number that the machine went up to, but i think it was 400+.

I’ve also maxed the HS shrug machine.

I haven’t been using a lot of machines in the past year. I’m curious to see which ones I can max now.

the leg curl
lol

Maxed out on the HS low row, mid row, decline press and not far away from the incline HS machine, they are generally not done first in my training session.

Maxed out 1st machine today. Pec Deck. I hardly use machines so not sure which others I could max out as well.

I can max out the leg press machine for like 1000000000000 reps, but it only goes up to 400lbs.
I can max out tricep pressdowns and I think that may be it.

Only exercise I max out on is triceps pushdown in the cable machine, I’m using the rope now instead of the bar and thats harder.
Seems like a lot of people max out triceps exercises.

Would this happen to be a Body Masters inc. press? It has D handles and the lever arms are kind of weird; they are crossed in the back. Never seen anything like that.

I’m trying the flat one out today because I just joined a new gym and they have a lot more machines available. I eyeballed the ‘pegs’ and both machines look like they can hold at least 5pps.

What I wouldn’t give to design my own gym…
