Yeah, whey or casein after (or a blend). Obviously it gets a lot more complicated when you talk about how much, carbs or no carbs, adding BCAA’s etc, but generally 20-30g of protein post workout.

Not necessarily. You can have it after workout, you can have it before workout. I personally eat a solid meal after workout and didn’t see ay difference. When i use protein powders, i have them like meal’s, it can be any given meal of the day.

Some will claim faster acting proteins than isolate, like whey/casein hydrolysate or BCAA’s are much better. In my opinion, it really doesn’t matter again and it’s mostly a marketing scam. What really matter is make sure you get adequate protein at the end of the day, whether post/pre/breakfast/dinner or powder/meat/eggs

If you’re concerned about post /pre / intra workout nutrition, make sure you get carbs as well as protein.

No, it is not a scam. Hype, maybe, but not scam (for the most part). You will notice a difference in recuperation with BCAA’s. If you have ever taken plazma, you understand what I mean. At 49, that stuff is gold.

I was a ‘have to have a protein shake with carbs after a workout’ guy for quite a while. Since using Plazma, I usually don’t.

I still think of Protein shakes or Finibar as food. But Plazma does cover it for me.

x2
Ideally MAG-10, or hydrolysed whey if on a budget -both a big step up in recovery from isolate and pretty much any non hormonal supplement out there at the moment

if got some coin throw in some of the new colostrums like biogro as well
