Where to Put Poliquin Sprint Protocol?

I followed a sprint protocol I found off of Charles Poliquin and always got good results from it.

It is:
-400m sprint
4 min rest
-300m sprint
3 min rest
-200m sprint
2 min rest
-100 m sprint

This has shredded me in the past without losing muscle.

  1. My question is where can I add this ONCE a week with my current training program OR how could I change my program order to make this work?

My current week is:

Monday - Bench plus assistance

Tuesday- Squat plus assistance

Wednesday- Off

Thursday- Press plus assistance

Friday- Off

Saturday- Deadlift plus assistance

Sunday- Off

Thank you coach for your time

In the best situation you would put it on the same day as the press (Thursday).

Most people instinctively would put it with the lower body workouts, in reality it could lead to an injury much more easily. But putting it on a day off (so either the day after or before a lower body workout) would hurt either performance or recovery.

Thank you coach for the reply!

I will add that onto my overhead press day either as a separate workout or directly after… depending on what my schedule allows.

Coach do you have an email I could possibly set up a phone consultation?

Hi zach,

What program are you following? What you just posted up looks solid, love 4 day splits.

Just a lift specific set up. Actually Coach Thibaudeau just posted a good article on the set up. EOD or (every other day) training.

Hi mate,

Which article? Do you have a link?

Cheers.
