Where to Get Workout Clothes?

Any websites you guys use for workout clothes? I typically just go to sports basement or sports authority maybe even big 5 but I’m looking for some good websites for workout apparel. I’ve bought a few things online like some tanks from GASP and a few others. I wear “workout” type clothes all day everyday, whether its to class, with friends, out to dinner, it doesnt matter. Anywhere online you guys get hoodies or long sleeves or tanks?

Great, now I’m picturing you as the brother in 50 First Dates. Are you SURE you want to wear workout clothes all the time?

But anyway, I just bought a pair of Asics running tights at Amazon.com. Why not google your favorite brands and see who sells 'em?

Have you seen how kids dress these days? I think wearing workout clothes as normal clothes is a great idea. I just bought some new jeans today and there were 6 or so styles to choose from, my wife made a comment on how several of them were similar to the style she would wear. And no I didn’t get one of those, probably wouldn’t fit in them even if it was my size.

Tomorrow I’m going to wear either my social worker t-shirt or my radio station one, with the running tights I already have and my usual running shoes. Sport bra under.

I’m going to wear something different to work.

I just got a pair of jeans on clearance from TJMaxx for $5!

Woohoo.

I also get my workout shit there too. Always wait for the clearance unless its something really good though.

LOL. I think people who actually go all out to wear "workout apparel are often in the gym for the wrong reasons.

I dress the way I do so I can see my muscles working…and I wear what I do to help with the sweating. That means usually no sleeves and a “sweat wicking” shirt and some shorts.

I have one lulu lemon shirt because it was given to me. I will never spend $80-100 on a single t-shirt for working out. I have a couple under armor shirts because they fit very nicely and feel good but the majority of my stuff are shirts that I’ve cut the sleeves off to or t-shirts that were on sale.

Hell I got a light stain on one of my nice shirts and made it into a tank top by pinning an existing tank top and cutting to shape.

Maybe I’m just cheap? lol

Short of gym rats in the 80’s wearing those clown costumes, I don’t see serious lifters do that shit anymore. It is usually a ripped up shirt that keeps you cool and allows you to look “swole” and some shorts.

I spend more time on my footwear than on my shirts.

I think your priorities are more “functionally” related when you actually have some muscle to show off instead of a cotton-polyester blend.

This year was the first year I ever bought dedicated workout clothes. I bought some Champion brand mesh-stuff… they are nice. My clothes no longer stick to my body while I workout now (I sweat a lot). And for some reason… navy blue really shows my chest nicely… and I do not mind seeing that I no longer have only a sternum. LOL

Other than that… I usually wear old shirts with holes everywhere and sometimes on upper body days I have been known to wear JEANS!

Anyway, OP, check Amazon.com. You can get everything there and in specific the champion brand meshy workout clothes are very reasonable. I think a pair of shorts with a shirt was for <$20.

I just take T shirts that don’t fit anymore, and cut a slit at the neck, cut the sleeves off, and slit them a little as well. That way I don’t have to spend a dime and I can keep wearing shirts that I couldn’t wear otherwise. Old Navy sweat pants or whatever shorts to go with that.

@OP: Don’t be that guy who thinks it’s ok to dress like that outside of the gym. It’s not. I can tell just by this statement that there’s no way you’re over about 21.

For the record, wicking shirts kick ass for lifting.

Cotton warps and stretches. I can sweat all day in a polyester blend shirt and it stays light. Most of my shirts are made like that with no sleeves.

Bullshit. I dress walking around like I do in the gym. I try to not go crazy with the sleeveless shit…but honestly, on your death bed you won’t be saying, 'damn, I wish I hadn’t shown off so much muscle when going shopping".

I workout in my own garage I pretty much wear old shirts and shorts. Sometimes Ill strip nude just to see my muscles working. I dont mind posting pics if you want to see my outfit…dont mind at all…

I like being covered up as it keeps my joints warm. Even if I do sweat a lot into it I don’t find it holding my lifting back at all.

Of course that way I can’t show off my bod, so the solution is to strip off layers as you get more warm and pumped. If you didn’t already know this then I highly doubt you’ve ever watched any Levrone’s/Yates’/etc training videos, and you should just leave this site.
