Where Do I Go From Here? Desperate Cry for Help

@enackers ,

Man I really don’t know what you are talking about. You really have no idea what I’m dealing with. This is not normal. It does not even happen to anorexic or obese people. You genitals do NOT GO NUMB of pleasure. I am not going to repeat all my symptoms over and over again. Why did I develop stress incontinence? Horrible body odor (not hormonal) even right after I shower and wash my armpits.

I do not know what world you live in but 170 lbs at 5’9 is not anorexic. I would like to hear more from you on what you mean be creating this issues? It would be cool if you could make your right testicle ache and leak urine? Maybe I am imagining it though?

Also let me add that I have never taken testosterone, steroids, accutane, anti depressants. I have always had a mild depression , however libido was always sky high?

It is my sad reality that I have to go on a forum where there are people that willingly fuck up there bodies by taking steroids and I have to ask these people for help because they know more then a fucking doctor.

What you are saying is also very dangerous, and maybe if you were in the same situation you would have ended it when someone tells you its in your head.

Look these are just plain facts; Endocrinologists who have look at my blood (Endocrinologists are doctors that went to school to study this stuff.

Doctor: You have epididymo-orchitis , gave me anti biotics and sent me for ultrasound of testis all fine. Symptoms remain

Endo #1: has diagnosed me with normagonadotrophic hypogonadism.
Endo #2 this is rubbish, endo 1 has no idea what hes talking about, its not your testosterone that im worried about its your “carriers”, come back with new bloods in a month and you will get treatment in the forum of gel/injections. I returned with new nearly identical bloods and he recommended I see a sex therapist?
Endo #3 “DHT is irrelevant , your hormones are fine”

Doctor from Canada I emailed : " I never understood why doctors checked estrogen levels in young healthy males"

Neurologist #1 , after waiting to see him for 6 months, he talked to me for 30 seconds , tapped my knee with a hammer and recommended I see a neurosurgeon.

Neurosurgeon: Looked at mri, and said that although I have spina bifida l5-s1 and minor herniation at l1-l2 there is no sign of nerve compression. Finish full endo testing and then come back.

Doctor: Sends me for leg emg that show loss of motor neurons in left and right leg. Neurosurgeon does not care.

Neurologist #2 . “You have back problems in spots that innervate the genitals, however you already had a neurosurgeon look at your mri, so lets wait and see what the other doctors say”

Urologist #1 "your prostate is not enlarged, and your bladder fills and empties completely, checked for hernia, and testicles, no problems found

Uro #2 Repeat above

Uro # 3 Repeat above

Uro # 4 I have an idea “lets try prostamol uno” (saw palmetto)

I hope you find some sanity and direction in life. Nobody can help you until you help yourself. Until then go pick up a few books. Jordan Peterson and jocko Wilink both have great books. Extreme ownership… read it son.

Hello again,

I feel like it was best to create a new thread. Anyways after 3 years of suffering low t symptoms (0 libido, no morning+spontaneous erections, low semen volume and force, dry tired eyes, muscles feel flat, and genital numbness, absent sweating from armpits and groin) and various doctors visits, claiming my problems are psychological. I almost gave up searching when my testosterone came back normal.

However thanks to many on this forum, I have been informed that these symptoms can be caused due to other things, and in my case most likely Low DHT 176 (350-850) and Low E2. 12 (11-35) Now when I search on forums I can see my symptoms people blaming it on low e2 and overusing AIs. Problem in my case unlike many is that I am not on “Artificial” Testosterone so I was wondering what would cause a 21 year old male to just one day wake up feeling like crap and completely get all these symptoms? Especially with normal testosterone levels?

My next course of action is to order butea superba off ebay and see if it raises the DHT. Creatine did not raise DHT for me, and Soy milk did not raise E2 for me. Is it possible that I have some kind of metal poisoning (I was working on a construction site as a laborer/garbage man when these sypmptoms began)

Yes, you need a thorough work-up.

Any Idea of what kind of doctor to visit? The urologists and endos I have visited have been about as useful as my pet dog. Don’t get me started on my GP who claimed Free Testosterone was irrelavent and did not need to be checked, as well as E2 in males.

Maybe some kind of blood doctor, that interprets these blood tests not just just hormones?

I know you guys aren’t doctors but I feel like you have more first hand experience through trial and error than these “doctors”

Also does an elevated DHEA-s level mean something? With a total t in the upper 600’s its like its going backwards in the pathway instead of going to e2, or dht?

You may want to revisit your thyroid also. Your TSH was off, your FT3 and FT4 were in range but you may have rt3 blocking your receptors. I would suggest more thorough testing. I am not an expert by any means but a lot of your symptoms also sound of hypothyroid

I was just thinking the other day. Even after showering my armpits stink! There is no sweat coming out of them but it smells very estrogenic. The thing that puzzles me is that my e2 is low 12 (11-35). I also have elevated liver enzymes. Do you guys think something is causing my body to excrete e2 at an alarming rate through sweat+urine causing the blood levels to be low and giving me these horrible symptoms?

Elevated liver enzymes means your liver function is not good, healthy strong livers excrete estrogen at a sufficient rate. You may have lost aromatase enzyme production through severe calorie restriction and you body wasn’t able to create more because I believe you caused damage.

You mentioned restless leg syndrome, that’s pointing to an iron deficiency, I haven’t seen an iron panel, ferritin or CBC which all are needed for determining iron status.

How elevated? Could have adrenal issues or pituitary issue where it is sending out to much acth.

If elevated maybe check cortisol levels and acth, also prolactin

I believe this range allows for something like 35-54 my ggt is 68 or 72 on two tests. Same is for ALT.

Do you workout at all? Elevated liver enzymes could be caused muscle micro damage from working out. So if you worked out within a couple to a few days they could be elevated from that. Does not always mean your liver is compromised. Mine were the same way and doc had me tested for hepatitis and and a liver ultrasound, everything came back normal.

I had strange body odor when I had lower E2 due to my AI use. As it has raised back up it has improved.

However I am not on trt or taking an ai. So I dont understand why at 21 years old I would develop these symptoms?

I am in the same boat, in 2013 I went through anorexia athletica where I would eat around 1,500 calories a day (low fat to make it worse) and train 3-4 hours a day…

After about 5 weeks of such a stupid diet I lost my penile sensation and ability to orgasm I also had low energy and was sleeping 3-4 hours a night instead of the 8-9 I was used to.

In November 2014 I did a recovery eating 4-5k calories a day… After 2 weeks I was walking outside and felt a sudden incredible burst of energy… best feeling of my life, everything was back just fine and I felt like a 15 year old! The very next day I felt very high body temperature in the morning like if my thyroid was activating or something…

Problem is that I stopped eating that much calories, it lasted 2 weeks and now 5 years later I am still feeling like shit. My symptoms:

No penile sensation/orgasm (I get a slight orgasm about 1 time a year)
Slight ED but never as bad as during my anorexic phase
My fat all goes in my chest or my ass which I find very feminine but weirdly I am quite hairy for a 29 yo
Sleep disorder (but never as bad as during anorexia)
Can’t sustain a laugh like before
Feel weak and tired
Can’t put on muscular mass
In general I feel like a 95 year old man, always the first one to leave the party and quite tolerate alcohol

I got some labs done throughout the year, I remember low DHEA-s and high SHBG but doctor said it wasn’t concerning as LH/FSH/Testosterone/TSH was fine.

I am now 5’10 165 lbs, I feel I don’t have the courage to eat enough as the fat will make me look like a tranny, I will try to get more bloodwork done but doctor says ‘‘it’s all in my head’’.

But trying a very high calories diet might worth it, it worked for me it just went away after 2 weeks… If blood work doesn’t work I will have to try it again myself.

Hey @follix1

Please get Total Testosterone, free t, shbg. And most importantly Please come back with e2/estradiol And dht/dihydrotestosterone…

I also cannot put muscle mass anymore And I was very muscular before from bodybuilding in my teens. The muscles are empty And no pump like before. No agression either. Scrotum is high Nd tight And Testicles feel dead or asleep.

The final 2 metabolites of Testosterone are Dht And e2. I know that these 2 are The real causes for hypogonadal symptoms in men And not Testosterone alone.

Most managed healthcare doctors are idiots when it comes to hormones, including thyroid hormones. The high SHBG comment is of particular interest and would see most of your free hormones very low.

Going to a managed healthcare doctors was your first mistake, doctors in managed healthcare will most be uneducated in sex hormones and will make outlandish comments in an attempt to save face when they are unable to diagnose you do to zero knowledge.

Saying TSH is fine is actually pretty vague, your definition of fine could be grossly inadequate hormone levels. 95% of the healthy population has a TSH under 1.5 and Free T3 midrange or better with Reverse T3 <15 ng/dL.

I’m willing to bet you don’t even have actual thyroid hormones tested, TSH is a poor marker for thyroid status. I see no mention of Free T, the free portion of testosterone circulating in the bloodstream which is low normally in high SHBG men.

So I have seen 4-5 urologists in the last 2 years. I have had my prostate checked by all of them. They all said it was normal.

I just got my results back from my pelvic mri. In translation it says my “prostate is enlarged inhomogenous signal” ?!

My doctor has been on vacation the last 2 weeks , and will be for another 2 days. Im interested to see what he will say? I read that enlarged prostate can be caused by elevated levels of DHT. In my case my DHT has been below range on the last 2 blood tests? So I would have thought my prostate is shrunken not enlarged?!

I am sooo lost, this whole situation just makes no sense to me. A healthy 22 year old male randomly loses his libido completely, his genitals become numb like rubber, leaking urine. Cant hold an erection it feels empty and needs constant stimulation. Orgasm has no sensation. How the fuck does this happen!?

I am fit, I do not smoke, drink alchohol. I dont eat cake and chips. I ate eggs, chicken, red meat. I never took any drugs like finasteride, propecia, anti depressants or steroids.

Starvation, malnutrition causes damages to organs. You have to continue eating healthy and hope everything rights itself.

I mentioned this to my doctor… The same one that said free test does not need to be checked.

She said that I would have recovered within a few months. She asked me what about people in concentration camps, wouldnt they have damage.

I really apreciate your responses, I understand I may be getting annoying but its a very dark place im in with no answers from “professionals”

I also read that High Dht levels cause enlarged prostates and the solution is alpha 1 blockers like finasteride etc which lower Dht.
However my Dht is below range in the last 2 blood tests I have done… I cant wait to see what the doc wil say now

I’m going to paste my response from another thread:

Recommend you go to defymedical to get bloodwork done. They provide quite good telemedicine after you get bloodwork done at a labcorp location, a sports physical and survey. I’ve been down the bloodwork hormone replacement path for over 5 years and have seen about 7 Drs. I’ve been most impressed with the knowledge espoused by defy. They work with men and women.
