I was getting ready to leave for Ohio State and needed to train someone to take my position at a radio station. She was training at the station with someone else before I got there. I happened to be running super late because of car troubles and when I arrived she said she had to go. I was pretty upset because I thought she was attractive. Next time I trained her, we really seemed to hit it off. She was a senior in high school and didn’t want a boyfriend. I was leaving for college and didn’t want a girlfriend. A month after I left for college, we were boyfriend and girlfriend. We did the long distance thing for 2 years and then she finished her college education at Ohio State with me. We just became engaged about 2 months ago!
This is going to sound like it’s out of the movies or something but I met my girlfriend (of almost 4 years) while I was doing deliveries for UPS. Yeah, I was the guy in brown. I don’t work for them anymore but I feel I owe them some credit for putting me in the right place at the right time to meet my girlfriend.
She was covering for the normal receptionist’s lunch break when I came in for a pickup. I was in courier training and my trainer was thoroughly bitching me out for sticking to procedure (like that’s a problem or something) I noticed her but didn’t think the timing was right, so I kept my mouth shut.
What do you know but later that week I was working solo when I had a chance to talk to her alone and chat her up. I thought it went smoothly but didn’t think to ask for her number… The next day her friend who was doing reception asked me if I was single and I said yeah, I was taking time off chasing the ladies to get my head on straight (LOL)
She mentioned that a certain person was very interested in my marital status and I figured it out. I called her at work the next day and we had a weekend lunch date; that has been 3+ blissful years ago. I’m sure I’m gonna bring this up at our wedding in our speech, but nowadays when that UPS commercial comes on “What can Brown do for you ?” all my lady says is “Yeah baby !” and everyone is laughing.
met my wife in undergrad studies at UH Hilo. She was an incoming freshman, and I was a repeating freshman. rofl. I figured I’d go to Freshmen orientation again (i must have gotten it wrong the yr before since I was still a freshman a yr later). We hit it off playing billiards. Since I have a weakness for asians, portugese women, and soccer players- she was great combo. unfortunately her bf at the time didn’t think so. that was 12 yrs ago.
I met my boyfriend while working in a resaurant his band performed at from time to time. I had quit but was having lunch there a few months later when he came looking FINE. I left but had his waitress slip him my number with his change when he paid his tab.
