I’ve been watching the Highlander, and the immortals look to be all ages. Some seem to be in their 20s and some in their 40s. So, when do they stop aging?

I think it’s when they receive a wound that would kill a mortal…but I could be wrong.
They stop aging at the point that they get their contract signed for the tv series.
That cheerleader on Heroes is clearly the exception. She will age until they run out of ideas about 2 years from now.

When ever the writer deems it convenient for the story.
They cease to age whenever they are first “killed” as a mortal, and are then resurrected as an immortal.
If they go through their entire life and die of natural causes, I believe that in that case they stay dead.

That makes sense, but then what happens to immortals that are never fatally wounded? Do they live to be really old then never die?

Who cares. I’m a fan just because she clearly has and uses a gym membership.
Perhaps the age that they become immortals? Not all immortals are true immortals from birth but come upon it be it an evolutionary trait or a bite from some smelly vampire. Immortality might even be like the common cold, once you catch it you can’t do anything about it until someone chops your head off.

Born Immortals such as myself, can choose to stop aging whenever we see fit (whenever we are most secksy). This explains why most eternals are from 18 to 30. It kinda sucks because once we stop we cannot restart aging.In the case of “made” Immortals, they stop aging at the point they were killed. Since their bodies are technically dead they cannot grow or reproduce…they are basically shells of people that will live forever.
On rare occasions an Eternal can sacrifice themselves to save another Immortal or even a mortal if urgency is high enough…in extreme cases at which point we are no longer seen as evil (another way for an angelic birth)
