To religious victims of anti-religious state actions, it does matter.
If I break society’s law against helping run away slaves, I am a criminal. Not immoral. If the slavery party became popular and won, what would you say to that?
According to some religions, like Christianity, it was good, then bad. In some it’s still good. What does the Bible say about slavery, rape, genocide? It seems we have a morality that has made an effort to not follow religious laws.

/shrug I’m not debating brands. I am debating faith.

Would I be immoral?
I think I wouldn’t have been able to get past the idea we had a slavery party
You aren’t even doing that.
It depends who you ask.
You might even be able to enforce your favorite color. It doesn’t mean it is the best color.
But, yes, someone breaks your laws. Doesn’t mean he’s evil. In fact, maybe it is society’s laws which are evil. Maybe society has all the weapons and power, and still, maybe it is society that has had, has, and will have evil codes. Do your surrender to society’s determination of good and evil?
It depends who you ask.
So it requires faith to maintain that the act itself IS evil. Thank you.
You aren’t even doing that.
I disagree.
I think I wouldn’t have been able to get past the idea we had a slavery party
But, if they did, then you would submit in thought to society’s new code.
I mean society could say that calling a he, that thinks he is a she, a he is evil. You might assume someone’s gender and set off some serious triggering. But, I’d stick up for you and say that it is society who is immoral.
No, it doesn’t.
I haven’t submitted to the code we have now.
Society can call whatever it wants to evil. Evil is not illegal.
You base that opinion on faith.
Are you arguing that there is good/evil?
Are you arguing that you (or someone) can have good/evil without faith?
Just checking. And, if not, then what are you arguing? Thanks.
I don’t know what he is saying. All I said is that morality can exist without faith.
So “can exist” as in might exist? Not necessarily within a human mind?
Or a human can derive it?
Or a human can just make it up?
