What's Better, More Reps or More Load?

They rounded up 43 participants (27 men, 16 women) with at least one year of consistent lower body resistance training and divvied them up into two groups. The first group would increase load while keeping reps constant (the LOAD group), while the second would increase reps while keeping the load constant (the REP group).

This research, like most hyperthophy studies is deeply flawed. Mostly noobs, almost 40% women:thinking: and 50% calves:flushed:. Ridiculous :joy:

So what you’re saying is that you really, really, liked the study? I don’t know if you’ve heard of B Schoenfeld, but he’s one of the most respected researchers in the game. Doesn’t mean he’s above criticism, but you’ve got to bring more ammo then you did if you’re going to mock him.

Almost same age as you and went through same exact learning curve as you. I was obsessed with power building and heavy weight. Not conducive to a smaller joint structure. I now use all those techniques you mentioned and not much has changed physique wise and I feel much better. Wish I adapted before all my injuries/surgeries. Young and dumb lol
