Freddie Roach should still get credit where its due. Arlovski’s hands/combos are nice…he made a stupid mistake with that knee.

Yeah, you’re right… I’m just bitter cause Roach said that ground fighting isn’t fighting like a man.
What are your guys thoughts on Barnett? Barnett would be an interesting match for Fedor. Barnett has the skill and size to create problems. How I feel.

Mirko, Fujita and Andrei only guys I’ve seen shake up Fedor some standing up. So Roach did something right with Andrei.

Actually,I think Arlovski had Fedor off his game more than Fujita or Cro Cop did. Arlovski was actually controlling the fight by being able to fight his game…until the “invisible” flying knee…lol.
1st fight. Green was schooling the white boy! Although the white boy did a decent job of acting. Probally a good thing to do since he was getting mauled. But I said from start of fight, the white boy was gonna take it. And he did. Got a lil cocky and didnt need to show boat. He got schooled, just got lucky.

Yeah that was an incredible fight. Mosley didn’t make one wrong move the entire night. I remember in like the 2nd or 3td Margarito staggering backwards after he ate a big right cross from Mosley and then grinning- although it was clear he was trying to hide being hurt. Then I thought to myself maybe Mosley will be the one who stops him.
My jaw still dropped through the floor when Margarito went down in the 8th and barely beat the count. I won’t forget this fight!
I’m happy Vitor won :), also andrei was controlling the fight. Very silly what he did, flying knee with hand down. Didn’t even have hands out. He also didn’t set up that knee with anything from what I remember! Fedor wasn’t crumpling, or hurt enough to pull off a fancy flying knee.

The Fedor fight was awesome, as was the Shane fight.
Based on what I saw from Barnett, I think Fedor will win that fight easily. I was a little disappointed with Barnett. To have a full mount on a guy for 7 or 8 minutes without being able to make him tap or making the referee stop the fight from ground and pound… not impressive. In the same situation, Fedor would have finished in under 2 minutes. Also, I don’t believe that Barnett has the striking to really give Fedor a challenge on the feet.
As for the Shane fight, that was amazing. I was expecting either a decision loss for Shane, or a decision win for Shane… not a TKO victory where he won every single round up until that point. Simply a joy to watch.
mma the fighting of the future? when only 1 promotion even makes any headwind, a shitty promotion, who disrespect and underpays their fighters? when you have the best mma fighter in the world, but the american audience shuns him because its not a ufc event? the sweet science will always be around. now, i say this as a 25 year veteran as a martial artist and trainer of mma fighters.
mma has a long way to go, especially if you allow one organization to spoon feed you fighters. i love both forms of combat, but to say boxing is finished and mma is its replacement, total bullshit!

The MMA I watched yesterday on video, I picked the result of every fight correctly except the Fedor fight. I really thought I was going to get a clean sweep until Andrei had his brain fart.
Barnett vs Fedor will be interesting. I am officially going to stop picking the other guy to win after Saturday though I do think that Barnett has the tools to cause Fedor some trouble. I think Barnett was pretty dissapointed with his showing against Yvel even though he did eventually finish him. i think you will see a more motivated guy when he is fighting for the WAMMA title.
Babalu was great, one of my all time favourite fighters.
Vitor had a great win though we now will have to deal with everyone going on about how the old Vitor is back, right up until he loses a boring decision in his next fight (I really hope I am wrong as when he is on, he is one of the most exciting guys out there)
Baby Fedor needs to get back to the drawing board and possibly lose some flab so that he can fight at 205.
Green could be one to watch in the future. He really needs to tighten up his striking though. Way too many wild punches! He actually beat a friend of mine to win an 8 man tournament here in Mexico last June.
As for all the Boxing vs MMA bullshit, why even bother, if you only like one of them. Great, watch that. If you like both, enjoy.
