I recently completed my 1st cycle of test e 500mg ew for 10 weeks. I pinned 250mg on mondays and Thursdays. I didn’t take any ai or serm and I didn’t really have any problems other than some minor bloat and my left nip felt kinda weird a few times but nothing serious. I didn’t do a pct which I know everyone will give me crap for but next time I will do things correctly. So my question is, what kind of gains should I have gotten? Over my 10 week cycle I gained 15lbs on my bench, 20 on my squat and 30 on my deadlift. I guess my I was just a little disappointed in my bench, was hoping for more. And despite not doing any pct I haven’t lost any gains and this week being the 4th week off cycle I went up another 5 lbs on my bench. My recovery time between sets was amazing, I was never sore the next day no matter how hard I trained and the pump in got was like no other! The only real downside is my cardio definitely went down and I had some mood swings in the beginning and post cycle. What I’m asking is are these gains normal for a 1st cycle?
Did you gain any muscle mass during the 10 weeks? Did the scale go up, did you lose any body fat? What workout program were you on?
I’m not being a dick but 20-30lbs to a lift isn’t really that great on a cycle imo…1st cycle 500 test if you gained 20-30lbs & lifts went up 50 that would be something…
I actually lost 15lbs, but I have a fair amount of body fat. I’m not a skinny guy, lol. I definitely gained muscle through my upper chest and shoulders. My diet on cycle wasnt as clean as should’ve been but I ate 300g protein, 350g+ carbs, and 250g fats daily, but on the weekends I drink excess Mt. Dew and had too much pizza for sure. Do you think my diet is what kept me from getting the full benefit?
I gained muscle through my shoulders and chest noticeably, but I’m probably near 20-25% body fat. I actually lost 15lbs. Which I’m sure was fat. I lift on mon, Tues, thurs and fri. For my bench, squat, deadlift, and overhead press I generally do 3x3, and then accessory lifts are usually 3-5 sets of 8-12 reps. I also just started doing a hypertrophy day every other week.
The answer to this question is almost always yes. If your diet was good you would not have had to ask that question.
You had excess body fat and you didn’t run an AI, which is not a great combination. You got less out of your cycle because you started it when you were too fat (I mean that literally, as in “too much body fat”, not as an insult) and your diet is awful. So yeah, I’m guessing that may have had something to do with the lack of benefits from your cycle.
It sounds like you did everything you could to sabotage your cycle. No AI, no pct, poor diet, and I’m guessing almost zero research before you started. So if you decide to run another one you should probably try to do the opposite of what you did this time and maybe your results will be better. But before running another one you should get your house in order and be consistent for a good while.
How old are you?
Your macro distribution gets you to around 5,000 cals per day.
Are you very big (like pro strongman big)? because losing 15 lbs in 10 weeks while eating 5,000 calories per day is pretty crazy. Also, what were your starting lifts?
Despite what others are saying, if you put those poundage numbers onto say a 400+ lb bench, then it is not to bad. On the other hand, any coach worth anything should be able to add 15 lbs to the bench in 10 weeks if you are still under say 315 lbs.
I’m 27
I weigh 215 currently. My bench is 300, deadlift 450, and squats is very poor at 300. I’ve skipped a lot of leg days but am correcting that now.
The only research I done before this is talked to a few guys at the gym. Over the last month I’ve done a lot of studying and have learned a lot from this site. I know I’m overweight but I domt care either way. I’m gonna start another cycle in August and add dbol and this time I will have my diet in check as well as an ai and a proper pct. Hopefully things work out better next cycle
Try to get your body fat down as low as you can before adding dbol to your next cycle. Controlling e2 is tricky with that stuff, especially in higher doses, and you’ll want to maximize the benefits of it once you’re on. What’s the dose you’re thinking of?

Next time keep it simple…plan on cycle for Nov-Jan that’s traditional gorilla season. Between now and then eat & lift & cardio with sense…get down to 13% bf…
