Well, that settles it, I guess. I’ll be switching back to GNC Mega Men Sport. Lead, sweet jesus.

Anyone got any other suggestions for a good, affordable multivitamin?

Define ‘it works’ …

You FEEL different taking them? Placebo effect, maybe?

As I said, I take the brand Emergen-C multi-vitamin - there is only a strawberry flavor from what I’ve seen - and it comes out to $10.50 for 36 packets. The recommended dose is twice daily, so a box would last 18 days, but one packet is fine; you should be eating fruits/vegetables anyway and that is enough to cover your ‘needs.’

So, less than $11 a month for the multi and it is an effervescent, which I trust infinitely more than any pill.

Flintstones. I especially like the dino’s and the Barney’s.

New Chapter Organics Unbounded Energy. It is kinda hard to find (try online) and a bit expensive, but its worth it.
The vitamin is cultured through two different stages of pro-biotics rendering it super digestible. Your body actually recognizes it as food. …and its all organic to boot, for those who care…
The unbounded energy vitamin has some performance related stuff, mostly a bunch of adaptogens, that boost your endurance and help your body react to stress.
if you want a vitamin that you dont just shit out whole and that you will feel from day one and that will improve how you deal with stress, both mental and physical, this is it.

I’m finishing up some Centrums, so I’m really looking forward to trying something new. Unfortunately everyone here seems to take something different so I’m not sure which to try next…

I am currently taking GNC Ultra Mega Gold without iron Multivitamin. I break them in half and take one half in the morning and the other half at lunch.

The men’s one-a-day multivitamins first ingredient is Calcium Carbonate. Doesn’t Calcium negate absorbtion of anything else?

That’s what I was wondering. I have a hard time with most vitamins so I usually just have Total or Product 19. I never understood why they put it all in the same product. Can’t you overdose? :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I want to add some C but am not sure what product to use. I’m already so sensitive that more than 150mg within 2 hours will lock me in the bathroom for a while.

MVM by Metabolic diet. (Mauro di pasquales brand)…damn good stuff.

OMC

VitaBall: The vitamin Gumball

ultra vita man, vitamin shoppe sells it, very comparable to gnc’s mega man but cheaper

Fruit, Vegetables, Nuts → All the vitamins I need.

What’s so great about GNC’s vitamin brand? Do you guys just take it because there are so many GNCs around? Or is it actually a highly rated multi?

Anyone heard of Double X by Nutrilite? It’s a 3 part multi: mineral, phytonutrient, mutlivitamin. I’m only skeptical because it’s made by Amway and Quixtar, the two oldest pyramid scheme companies around, but a friend has a huge stash of the Nutrilite and swears by it.

Dr. Mercola’s Whole Food vitamin

I take GNC’s MegaMen in Aus - it’s the 4th highest rated multi (with their women’s as number 1) apparently. Had never heard of numbers 2 and 3, and GNC is convenient, so…

Agree with post above regarding Biotest Greens.

i take whatever walmart sells. as my chem prof in college told me there is no difference between GNC and the Wal-Mart brand. calcium is calcium, vit a, b, c are the same, etc.
