Egg.
i buy 5 dozen at a time (white eggs). it is cheapest for me. we also have a few chickens at my house so i eat those eggs as well.
if i cut out any yolks, i make sure its from the store-bought ones, because i can tell the yolks of our chickens are healthier (thicker, almost orange, as opposed to yellow). if i hard-boil eggs, i use the store-bought ones because they are easier to peal.
and yeah, brown and white eggs are the same thing. just different types of chickens. we have a couple of aricana (spelling?) chickens and they lay blue/green eggs.
I go through about 30-40 eggs a week, and omega 3’s cost au$4.50 for 6 here…so I just buy the cheapest ones which are about $2.80/dozen.
When i do get the omega 3 ones though, the yolk has a totally different colour and even taste fishy lol. I feel like I’m eating junk with these cheap ones - which aren’t that cheap compared to what some of you are paying ><
here in canada the omega 3 type has a better tasting yolk and the eggs themselves seem more sturdy (firmer shell, discrete separation of yolk and white) but they cost $0.50 to $1 more than regular eggs per dozen, so i just eat the regulars (brown or white)

Omega 3.
Omega-3
Taste as close to fresh eggs as I’ve had store-bought.
And forget about not eating the yolk; that’s the part that kinda makes eating an egg infanticide.
The biggest bang for my buck. I can’t afford to be part of the “I only eat organic” or the “I only eat range-free” egg clubs. The Costco brand suits me just right.
