What is White Pasta?

i bought spaghetti and it is made out of durum wheat semolina. can’t really tell if this is considered “white” as i have never seen white pasta being labeled as “white pasta” in the market.

pasta is pretty good. what’s the GI of it? i’ve seen a site listing it “high” (i tihnk 70ish) and some under 50.

What’s it matter if it’s white or not? How is pasta “pretty good” & can’t you just google GI of white pasta? What’s up with this post, it’s all over the place.

white is labeled as high GI, yet i haven;t seen it anywhere so it must be a generalization rather than a name, which i’m trying to figure out.
tastes good.

what’s with the post if you aren’t goin to help?

Theres pasta and whole wheat pasta. Pasta is “white” and whole wheat is not, if that helps you.

I did help, you already answered your own question.

I’ve never heard the term white used for pasta though. It’s normally “pasta” or “whole wheat pasta” where I live. White is associated with bread. So I’m guess it’s most likely bleached wheat/flour instead of whole wheat(ex. $1 box of mac & cheese is most likely made of bleached flour/wheat). That should help.

id agree. Regular pasta is white pasta. Eat the regular pasta with a protein after ur workouts or white rice to help the protein absorb into the blood. Quickest/most effective way to get ur shit.
