Your prefrontal cortex (the part of your brain responsible for abstract thought, emotional impulse control, planning, etc.) doesn’t reach maturity until you are around 25, which is part of the reason why we all did such stupid, thoughtless things when we were teenagers. Plus the experience that comes with age affords you a wider, deeper knowledge base. Logic is useless without something to work on.

That being said, I really don’t understand ZEB’s desire to shut you up. Maybe you’ve been a real jerk on here before (though I don’t think it’s my place to go routing around the forums to find examples), but adults usually only refer to your age in a debate when they feel threatened and want to shut you up.
