What Hormone Panel/Bloodwork for Women?

Mate my missus has gained weight from age 30 to 36

Is this a hormone thing and what bloods work would be worth checking?

She has had eating disorders, going from bulimia to over eating.

Stress and eating go together with her

I don’t know, just thought you might know something and i always turn to your info for my TRT

Thanks mate

Looks like mostly the same as for men, but add a couple of others

CBC
CMP
testosterone total and free
SHBG
Estrogen total and estrodiol
DHEA
Progesteron
IGF-1
TSH
If you want some more on thyroid
Total and free T3 & T4
Reverse T3
I think you can wait on an Thyroid antibody test until you’re actively troubleshooting thyroid issues, if it even comes up. It’s one of the more expensive tests.

I would also include a lipid panel, 'cause why not.

I think all that is a pretty good start. Probably over 300 bucks if you out of pocket all that. Check with her doc about running as much of that as the insurance will take and then do the rest yourself. Be careful and know what the final cost will be before ordering, full list price for all that is well over a grand, don’t want to be stuck with that bill.

I’ll the place I use for my trt for their female panel in a bit and post a follow up.

I checked with my provider (Defy Medical)

Their " Comprehensive Hormone and Wellness Lab Panel for Women (Initial) LabCorp" contains:
CBC, CMP-14, Lipid Panel, Testosterone Free and Total, Estradiol, DHEA-Sulfate, TSH, Progesterone, FSH, IGF

There are online blood work companies where you can order your own blood work (depending on state)
an example is discountedlabs.com:

I’m planning on getting my wife some blood work done and that would be a great one.
I hadn’t heard of Ulta Lab Tests, now it’s saved in my favorites.

I usually find better deals there than trough Discount Labs but sometimes there are sales at either site as well.
