Quest or LabCorp?

I get blood work done when I go see my doctor every 3 months but I want to start sprinkling in some testing in more regular intervals.

There are several Quests and Labcorps very close to where I live so that’s not a problem. I’m aware their rages are quite different sometimes but what does it cost at these places to walk in and get pretty in depth testing done? So you prefer one over the other? Thanks!

From my experience, it doesn’t really work like that. If you want lab test done outside of your Dr, then go to one of the websites that let you do that. I use, Private MD Labs. You can pick the tests you want, pay the fee, and you will get your lab order via email. You take your lab order to a nearby lab and get the blood work done. They email you your results in about 7-10 days. If you have a FSA for medical, this usually qualifies for payment.

lol my bad I had no idea. Always wondered how people get blood work done so frequently. My goodness those prices are insane.

no worries brother. That’s why we are here, to learn from each other.

I’ve used Private MD labs a ton. Its a great process and user friendly. Do your research here to see which labs to get then get online and place your order.

I use Private MD Labs. They send me 15% off promo codes every month. The female hormone panel for males gets you the basics for less than $60.

I must be looking at the wrong tests. All of them look way more expensive than that. Feel like an old man asking this but can someone post a link of the most inclusive test for its value? If that’s allowed…

I believe this is what @hmcyl is talking about

That’s the one. You can add whatever you like or choose a different panel to include more through testing. I usually order this minimal panel on my own and let my Dr. order more extensive bloodwork so my insurance picks up the tab.

Think I am going with this one. This looks like it is very thorough. Thoughts?

There’s no Free Test, no LC/MS-MS testing for Test and estradiol.
Look at this one.

It gave me all these tests

That one seems better but doesn’t have the thyroid stuff

Ah screw it I already ordered it and have the printout to take to labcorp in the morning. Will change it up next time. What I ordered is better than nothing lol.

I’d probably add this one. I think your overall cost are similar

I’ve always been ripped off by LabCorp on regular medical testing.

Found one that included everything I needed:
