What Happened? (No Feeling in Arms/Legs)

Woke up last night with no feeling in my lower legs, OR my lower arms. My face was tingling like crazy and it took about 15 minutes to get the feeling back.

Even then, all my limbs felt like someone had poured fiery acid into them, and they were practically glowing red and puffed up.

The day before this incident, I went to stretch my knee (part of rehab) and felt an almighty pain shoot up my back.

Hopefully not related … hopefully a one-off.

You might have a pinched nerve…go to your doc for an mri and some nerve test.

What is your rehab for? Either way tell the doc or the PT about the tingling. I have a pinched nerve and do get some strange feelings in my legs every now and then, and tight shoulders give me strange feelings in my arms, but if you wake up and feel as though your head is asleep like your legs and arms, go to the doctor, because the elementary diagnosis for that would be a lack of bloodflow to the head…and I am pretty sire thats bad.
Luck pal

I was thinking the same thing

Thank you all for your help. Will be off to the doctor as soon as I get off work.

This said, getting a scan here is nearly impossible. 14 months on the two severely fucked up knees and despite actually begging, no scan is forthcoming.

Lets hope they take this more seriously.

Cheers guys.

Did you recently get surgery? If so could have been a PE (pulmonary emboli). What you are describing is a hypoxic type episode. Lack of oxygen to the extremeties, this could be from a PE or if you have palate obstruction sleep apnea type episode. If you had surgery you have to let your Doc know about the episode.

See a doctor right away.

Out-Of-Body experience: The onset of this type can be frightening as intense physiological sensations may be perceived, such as electrical tingling, paralysis, full body vibrations and racing heartbeat.
