What Does Off-Topic Think of PWI?

I like PWI because there are some very easy targets that go absolutely apeshit when you push their buttons.

I haven’t paid much attention to any of it for the past several months though.

I don’t even go in PWI because I can’t type that fast and if I get in long debates I’d never get anything done. You’ll notice most of my posts are under a hundred words.

Also, it’s more of a waste because you can type and type and link to things and post pictures and graphs and when it comes to something like politics or religion we all know that nothing changes by the end of the debate except everyone’s angrier.

Pushharder runs PWI so I do my best to stay away but occasionally I peep a boo to see what’s up.

There’s too much political and religious discussion on there IMO. It would be cool if we had more guys on there that are versed in economics, finance and/or business so we could have conversations without having to infuse the word ‘liberal,’ ‘conservative,’ ‘democrat,’ and ‘republican’ every other post.

PWI should be called “Semantics and Bullshit.”
It seems like that’s all the arguments degenerate into.

I do enjoy it though, oddly enough.

Stay classy bro.

Politics AND World Issues.

How many threads are there on that board that are essentially about the same thing.

PWI has basically become a place to go if you want to talk about Obama and Republicans, and express anti-muslim sentiment.

AND the judgements about one’s lack of salvation (perceived). Ahhh, the doomdom of one’s soul.

I try to keep up regularly to learn something but I just watch from the sidelines. Too much name calling for me but then again, thats politics.

I usually avoid it because, in the words of FightingIrish, it’s like the GOP Blowjob Barn.

lol

It would be nice if there was a balanced perspective especially for those of us not completely up to speed on the topic.[/quote]

PWI are sticky, and positions should be passionately represented. Balance, or as close as we get at the practical level, is reached by negotiating these positions. Sometimes feeling are hurt, sometimes bonds are formed. These are not casual matters.

therajraj- IMO…you do a fine job of representing your positions.

I’m going to resist the urge to google that.

That’s completely fucking incorrect. I’m absolutely sick of you numbnuts getting it all wrong!

Its a right wing evangelical circle jerk… duh!

  • The “-- check out simply because I see they posted in it” refers to threads with titles that don’t necessarily appeal to my interest. The higher the tier, the more likely I am to browse a boring thread just to see what that poster has to say regardless of my level of interest in the subject being discussed.

  • Low Tier and Shit Tier are pretty interchangeable, actually. I just needed both to flesh this out. The God and Top tiers were a pretty close call.

  • Note that this is as much a reflection of their posting style as it is their POV’s on politics and world issues. I go there for entertainment just as much as education.

Therefore, some posters got shuffled around based on either causing or dodging shitstorms. It’s not necessarily a ranking of intelligence, though undoubtedly IQ DOES factor into their perspectives and positions on subjects.

  • If you weren’t mentioned, you are probably Low/Shit Tier. This is NOT an attempt at condescension – I’m Shit Tier, too. Try getting an avatar that isn’t your favorite historical/political figure for a change… now, I understand that it is (apparently) a pre-req to being a PWI “regular”, but overcoming that douche factor isn’t something many can do based on entertainment/quality of their posts.

Ugh, how could I forget?? FI should be Top Tier, too.

Guy starts some serious shitstorms over there.

Just to demonstrate how much I disagree I will let my “mid tier” rating slide but putting Pookie and Thunderbolt on the same level…
