There are no “naturals” like you in australia…

I’m super impressed, and it gives me hope for the future as a natural.
How long have you been training??
you’ve got such thickness!
Very impressed!
Thank you very much for the compliment.

Stay natural!! Eat right, Train smart!!! Become knowledgeable!!!

I have been training since 1999, my first show. Since then I have stopped competing. All my time was put into training my clients foe health, athletics, competitons etc… Until November of last year I started again and will continue for a very long time.

Thank you much!!! I eat and eat and eat!!! Is it expensive? YES!!But, I have learned to make it cheap. You have to go to the right places!! If not it does get very expensive.

I will keep everyone updated on the shows to come!!!

Kiyoshi,

I give you a 10. You truly are an anomaly, especially if you have any Japanese blood in you–nice first name.

At any rate, when you have a minute, please post your training and diet routines season/off season. We are interested.

All the best.

floripa
Hey Thank you!!! 1/2 Japanese I am!!!Thank you very much for that rating!!!

I will post post my ff season diet and routines on season and off season tomorrow!! You got it.

With the permission of the T-Nation and their approval I will try and put out an article real soon!!!

Very impressive physique without a doubt. It’s inspiring that you’re natural and eat like a beast. I got all summer to eat something like your current eating schedule as I a college student. I can’t imagine how you do this on a tight and busy schedule.

10/10 without a doubt. Your physique clearly has the presentation of hard work, dedication, and consistency. It’s something definitely worth striving for. The delts and triceps are CRAZILY well crafted.

Any workout logs would be appreciated as well as your current lifts in the deadlift, squat, and bench.

Question out of the blue but if you’re 1/2 Japanese, then the other 1/2 is?

Thanks, and once again, impressive job!

You, sir, get a 10. If I ate as many carbs as you do, I would be as big as fat bastard. Oh yeah, win!

Hey man I read your story in a previous issue of MD in Daves column, it s a very good story, and your physique is amazing for a natural.

Good luck w/the team U!

And post that training program, im curious as to what you do!

Just remember my current eating schedule is my precontest diet. So make sure if you want to bulk up a bit, to add in complex carbs from the time you wake up til about 3pm. After 3 pm you can start to cut the complex carbs and switch to fibrous carbs such as broccoli, lettuce etc, veggies!!! That way you won’t store all the extra carbs before you go to bed!!!

As a trainer I hear alot of people tell me I don’t have time to eat, etc… To me thats an excuse. When I first started training back in my young days!!! I would wake up at 4am be at work at 4:30am work til 11am, go to school til 3pm, football practice from 3:30 til 6pm go back to work til 11pm, make food once I got home did a little homework then go to bed wake the next day and start over again!!!

THE KEY IS PREPARE YOUR FOOD AHEAD OF TIME. You know what your schedule is like so prepare!!!

All my clients when they start make the same excuse I don’t have time. So we sit down and go over there time schedule. Once we are done they realize they do have time to make food and eat.

There is always time, Is it hard? Very Hard!! Nothing comes easy!!! Even now with my schedule, I make time I cook my food on sunday for mon, tues and wed. On wed I cook for thur, fri, sat and then repeat.

If you want it bad enough, Be Determined!!

Thank you very much for the compliment!!!

As far as logs, I don’t keep things written down in a log. My workouts always change depending on how I feel. But I am putting together a list to post on here in a few short days my whole routine. So if you could bare with and be patient.

Thank you very much

Excellent physique dude - looks like you’ve got the total package.

You remind me of Skip La Cour a bit…

Nice work. : )

I actually thought this WAS Skip! Your physique is strikingly similar! Very solid and thick. Amazing thickness for a natural guy. Have you done a lot of low rep work in the past?
Thank you very much for the compliment!! Actually Skip was the first bodybuilder I ever met and one the big reasons I decided to stay natural!!

My background goes as far back as college, but even then as a DB we never lifted heavy just alot of reps. Then went on on to play pro ball same training alot of reps. Here we come to the present. My training as far as now and has always been alot of reps. I tried the heavy training for a long time but my body would not respond. So I had to make a change.

Quick example of an exercise for me. Smith machine incline press for the chest. 135lbs 25reps 2 sets, 185lbs 20reps 2 sets, 225lbs 15reps 1time, 275lbs 10reps 1 time, 315lbs 8reps 1 time. The last set at 315 would be a drop set, 315lbs 5reps, 225lbs 10reps, 185lbs 20reps, 135lbs 30reps. Done Thats a typical routine for me then move on to the next chest exercise.

Hope that helps a little!!!

Any questions you ever have please don’t hesistate to ask!!!

I will post that training program as soon as I can. Just to let you know I don’t keep a log of everything I do and my workouts change from day to day. I go by feel, how my day has gone, if I got enough sleep etc. So I am putting together a list of workouts that I have been using and I will post them sometime before friday.

Promise!!!

I am very honored that you even ask about my routine, Thank you very much.

Any questions I will be more than happy to ask, please don’t hesitate.

Thank you very much!!! I love answering questions and helping people out. I always remember when I was starting out and still to this day I ask questions to veteran pros, amateurs or just the everyday normal joe.

You never know who you will run into or what background or knowlegde they have. Just because they don’t look the part as a bodybuilder dosnt mean he or she is not knowledgeable. So I never forget where I came from ya know!!! So ask away!!!

By the way isnt Stan McQuay endorsed by T-Nation? Does he ever post here or take time to answer questions? I would like his input on some things!!!

Hey Kiyoshi,

I’m the same way, I never forget where I came from. You never know who can help you out, so I try to gain knowledge from as many people as I can.

Yes, Stan does post on here from time to time, and is sponsored by Biotest. He has his own website, www.stanmcquay.com, where he spends a lot of time. He answers all of his emails personally (like you), and is a really nice guy (like you also). And he is Japanese as well (like you again!). You already have a lot of things in common!!

Here is a video of him about a week after he earned his pro card. It shows a day in the life of Stan McQuay, and shows him working out at the gym.

Sorry T-Nation for my absence!! I recently hurt my lower back pretty bad. I had to cease training and confined to bed rest for a couple days. Now I am up and moving around again. With one week before my show I am still in good spirits.

Therapy is rough and hurts but it has to be done!!! The doctor said I can resume light training again on monday. Just in time for carb depletion and burn some glycogen. Drop a little water in the process!!!

My training splits and some workout routine and my precontest diets are going up now .

Thank you again and sorry for the delay!!
