I really doubt that is 19% bodyfat. I’ve never heard of someone having a 4 pack and looking that lean while at almost 20%. I think the article was wrong in that regard.
I could be wrong but if I had to guess i’d definitely say Tate was much lower than that.
it is actually 19% bf, there was an article about this transformation. The author mentioned a great portion of his fat was the kind that surrounds the organs, visceral fat I believe it’s called.
That means, however, that he would measure less using calipers. Most people are not getting weighed underwater or in a “bod pod”.
Yes he did callipers first and only measured 12% then they did some other test, not sure of the name and he it said he was 19%. Perhaps it was the bodpod.
I am pretty sure they used DEXA, which is a lot more accurate than a bodpod. From what they teach me in school DEXA is as accurate as you can get.
I don’t care one way or the other about Doggcrap training but this thread is still amazing. Fat people calling lean people gay - accusations of racism - ridicule of mma - worship of THE BURN - unsubstantiated claims of athletic prowess - threats of physical violence… it’s got it all.
If this dude truly is a 65 foot shot putter, some people in this thread making fun of him need to check themselves. I understand the people who have experience and time under the iron/whatever, but for the random guys still sub-200, never seen 250, they need to back off. Of course if he’s lying, flame him all you like.

I don’t. I’ve had abs as visible as that (which is not much) at 29% bf by underwater weighing after the one very long layoff I ever did and getting way out of shape.
I have also seen others of that same approximate appearance with regard to definition – but not nearly as muscular of course – at about that 19% measured bodyfat percentage.
Depends on the individual.
Btw, as occurred with Tate, I expect that if a skinfold estimation of bodyfat had been taken at the time of the 29% hydrostatic reading, it would have been considerably less. But regardless I was way fatter than Tate, yet had similar abs. You can’t go with complete reliability just by the amount of fat blurring or obscuring the abs.

Why? You can be a total douschebag but we’ll give you a pass if your strong? Read his first handfull of posts in this thread again. This didn’t start out because the guy is fat and strong and little people started making fun of his body fat %. It started out with him making idiotic statements and insulting everyone who disagreed with him.
I’m not going to see a video of him squating 600+ and say to myself… “It’s ok that you are a total dick”. I don’t care how much his fat ass lifts.
To the OP: Here is a tip, when a hula-hoop does an effective job of keeping your pants up… its time to stop bulking.

ACK.
I’ve once had a clear biceps-triceps separation, delta tie-ins, no love handles, a very tight lower back area, veins popping out along my forearms and biceps (unpumped) but: no visible abs and even lower belly fat (and some pec fat, too).
Skin elasticity is another criterion that shouldn’t be overlooked and, more generally speaking, body fat distribution can vary greatly between individuals.
People in some way or another associated with bodybuilding should’ve finally got it by now.
Even people not doing anything bodybuilding-related have noticed it. It’s not that hard, really. Just take a look at the different body compositions of people around you: at work, in the locker room, while you’re shopping etc. Some people have what passes off as conditioned forearms and sport a belly, with other people it can be quite the opposite. Some guys have trouble getting their backs conditioned while others carry relatively little fat there and there are even guys sporting conditioned upper bodies but barely having quadricepses with the typical teardrop shape for no other reason than genetics.
Wish I would have seen this earlier, since the thread has already gone to shit I just wanted to say that you, Osama al-Zarqawi are a fat shit and this is a bodybuilding forum, so fuck off. I’m sick of the trolls on this damn site

Yah, I’m still trying to figure out why, when the dude looks black, and I say he looks African that is considered racism. I’m stumped
I thought this crap was supposed to be over once Obama got elected?

Then I would like all the " I don’t lift heavy and am not super strong types cuz I wanna stay lean types" to shut the fuck up
This is the bodybuilding forum pal, I don’t care how strong or how far you can throw a metal ball, if you look shit, it really doesn’t matter.
Go to the strength sports forum and then MAYBE people will care.
You dug yourself in a huge hole by essentially claiming you had a great physique with the call out on pictures. SO whats it going to be? Brag about your lifts and go to strength sports or accept that you look like crap, and stay in the BBing forum.

Hey, he originally kept going on about the importance of “the burn”. Changed his opinion now to hard and heavy or what?
Lol, never mind what he looks like…he could pass for latino anyway.
But:
1.he calls himself “egyptian bulk”.
2.EGYPT is in northern A-F-R-I-C-A for fuck’s sake.

No matter what u call it HIIT HFT 5x5 German volume or doggcrapp
IT’S ALL ABOUT THE BURNNNNNNNNNN
Gee, so pinching my muscles really hard should be enough to cause them to grow, huh?
Should probably avoid the nipples if the theory is sound. Anyway DC is the greatest thing since the Ford Super Duty, almond butter, Brazil nut butter, and sex.
