What do you think of Centrum?

When I was taking GNC’s mega men my urine turned a bright yellow, almost neon-glow-in-the-dark color. I’ve now switched to centrums and dont’ have a ‘color’ problem with them.

Overdosing? Hmm, thats interesting theory. Im taking these ultra something 2000. Its comparable to ultra mage man. My urine when I take these turns bright yellow and Im slugish all day. I thought it was all in my head.

I think you pee turns yellow cuaz of the b vitamins, it happen to me when i used to take a B-Complex. What i am figured to take is my Anti Ox Caps Vit A,E,C and a B complex…

i just take GNC megamens. 2 a day first thing in the morning with my wakeup shake. As far as them staying in your stomach a long time, I am not sure , but I think some are made to dissolve slow. The GNCs say on the bottle that they are time released. I dont know what the exact benefit to this is, but one possibility could be that since there is so much of some of the vitamins in there, by it breaking down over time your body might be able to absorb it better. Another possibility (which i doubt, but it would be cool if some vitamin companies did it) is that by making it time released they could make it so that the vitamins that interfere with each other could be released a few hours apart. That is total speculation though. There might be no benefit at all to it dissolving slow. I would be interested to hear what Bill thinks about this topic.

I’m taking MegaMen from GNC. I don’t feel sluggish or anything like that. And from what I heard from my College/University Medicine, Nutrition, and Chiro Major Buddies that the piss thing is actually normal. They all told me that it just shows that the stuff is actually being absorbed by the system. I dunno it just wat i was told.

Read this following report: 254 qualifying products were evaluated and compared to the selected nutritional standards. These standards were drawn from a number of sources.

In order to compare products in a quantitative manner, the author developed a comprehensive and reliable product rating methodology. To do this, he used two standards.

Firstly, what he called the Blended Nutritional Standard, based on the pooled recommendations of Dr.s Richard Passwater, Michael Colgan, Michael Murray and Ray Strand. These experts gave their recommendations as to the daily level of supplementation they believed was optimal. The second method of comparison was to compare all the supplements to what the author believes is the industry bench mark, the Usana ‘Essentials’.

The author considered the following 12 points in his review :

Completeness,

Potency,

Antioxidant Triad,

Components for the Gutathione Peroxidase Pathway,

Insulin Resistance Defense System,

Cardiac Health Triad,

Homocycsteine Reduction Triad,

Anybody out there still use SNAC vitamins/minerals?
