We are animals that have overidden natural selection, and as a result have spread like a cancer across this beautiful world; pathetic beings, greedy, selfish and obsessed with material objects. We cling to our animalistic desires but have discarded the natural laws that ensured no damage could be done as a result.
We have come from living in caves to manned flights in space, but it seems throughout the ages evolution has stalled upon the nature of a man. We are still a vile, pathetic race of parasites, mindlessly going through our shallow lives with no thoughts or fears of the consequences of our very blighted existence.
We have split the atom, but only to build a bomb. We spend billions funding armies to conquer vast tracks of land for our own benefit, but then leave millions starving and suffering in poorer countries. We futily slaughter each other like cattle. We consider our own selfish needs and pride to be above the lives of others; respect is but a bygone relic.
We cannot face the inevitability of death and a cold, lonely oblivion, so we create our Gods and religions to give us the false hope and bravado that there is something else, but in the end all this does is create further divide and suffering. We are all convinced that we know the answers, but the truth is that we’ll never know what lies beyond; we merely hide behind faith and blindly hope for the prospect of a better world and an end to all the world’s problems, and ignore the fact that we and our pathetic concepts of self, pride and division are the causes.
