What Do The Mods Think?

Now I’m REALLY blushing.

BTW. Since Mod Burt Reynolds works in that outfit, this is what the female mods wear to work.

AA does not share with anyone, mod Laurie is my fav

I also think the mods do a fantastic job. I have had an ocassional post rejected in the past and knowing me, I deserved it.

I am sure some mods apply more stricter rules than others and I actually think at times it would not hurt to tighten things up a bit here and there.

I hope Mod Laurie doesn’t shoot me for this, but if you look through the articles on F-heit, she’s featured in one of them and apparently does a great job with her lifting!

Dayyyummmmm

Now dammit, the rest of you STAY AWAY until I’m done with her…and that might take a while.

Oh come on. You of all people should know about the importance of sharing.
This is a great job, but I will forever be scarred by the sick bastard that posted a link to that lemonparty site. And I just happened to have my niece with me at the time - quickest window-closing-click ever!

I enjoy reading all the posts and threads and I have a few favorite posters. I am constantly learning (and often chuckling). I hate weeding out all the high school kids asking if creatine will make them huge posts.

Yes, I have asked several posters now if they have read the cautionary post at the top of the picture forum (ie. do you really want to post your picture?)

Oh, and the politics forum? blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah…zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Damn, I completely forgot about the politics forum. I don’t read it anymore, but I used to.

I have a new-found respect for you all now.

Anyone have any idea of the volume of posts you get on a busy day?

I did not even think about that. So you guys have to actually watch the vids that are posted and follow through with web links etc. That’s a scary thought, I dont even want to think about some of the stuff you have to watch that doesnt make it through.

More than the number of hairs on Burt’s ass.

I guess it was kind of implied in my original post, but yes my hat’s off to the moderators of T-Nation. They do a great job keeping things running smoothly and it’s more responsibility than I bet is sometimes realized.

Here’s something I’ve wondered. Can the mods see PM’s? I mean are they moderated like public posts are? I’m sure all content is accessible to somebody, or at least I hope so.

I am sure they can so you better stop throwing yourself at every Vixen that joins T-Nation

No, we don’t see or have access to anyone’s PM’s… should we?

Sorry, I think that was me!

This is probably a good place to mention that anyone can forward PM’s to another person or to a moderator if necessary.

Dayummm…can I work in the office on days that ModBurt Reynolds isn’t there? Are you looking for part timers? =P

Blushing Oh come on Laurie you deserve every bit of it. I think its also worth mention that that pic was of you just getting back in the game afetr serious injury was it not. so not in your best shape by far.

Which is friggin just CRAZY cause as usual your smokin’ but even more so seemingly daily as you consistantly whip your self into even better shapoe and condition somehow.

Really L your an inspiration and a damnb fine friend

AH Group Hug  Im feeling all flustered and emotional today LOL

Not necessarily, but somebody should. I know I would never own any webspace where there was anything I didn’t have access to which is why I host all my own shit. I was just wondering if the PM’s were actively moderated more as a professional curiosity.
Thanks,

Holy…crap.

Just wanted to thank all the mods on this site for their work. Anyone who has been on a non-moderated forum before knows that the benefits of having some of your stuff pulled easily outweighs the unending crap that clogs up message boards.

Nice thread Trib! It’s always nice to give appreciation where it is due. I’ve been a memeber of numerous message boards (too many to count) over the years and this is by far the best collection of members and Mods out there.

I’ve been involved with some computer related forums for like 7 years and God only knows how many by now. I wrote the fair use policy and was an admin/mod for vidomi.com for a while which is a Divx based video recompression program. (The programmer got a really good job and didn’t have time to continue development so it went idle eventually.) There’s a lot more to it than meets the eye.

You have to keep the suits happy which can mean explaining why you allowed somebody to continue or why you didn’t. Free speech and keeping the community large can lock horns with business interests when someone’s bad mouthing your product. What if somebody even in apparent jest threatens a politician or a terrorist act of some sort, etc? Nowadays especially, there can be some eye squinting decision making involved.

It’s fun, but does have some real responsibility beyond what we all see. They do deserve a big hand. Especially on a board this big with some of the rather “colorful” individuals that wander in.

BTW, now you know why sometimes your posts are published faster than others when Lisa Marie’s modding from her bed. Imagine waking up with 25 messages in your queue ;-D
