I’m currently an attorney for the state. If you beat your kids or are otherwise a shitbag, I take them away. Pay sucks, but it’s easy work and I feel better about it than working 80hrs a week writing memos and doing doc review for Biglaw, all other things being equal. (then again, for 120k/year, I’d be the happiest little doc reviewer in the entire freakin’ world)
