What Changes Have You Done Since Turning 35?

Lets be specific folks I would like to hear from other people how they are coping with lifting as they get older.

I will start.

  1. More warm ups
  2. More concerned with longevity than instant gains (mindset)
  3. I don’t feel bad when I have miss a workout. (ok I do)
  4. I don’t have to prove myself to the youngin’s or anyone else for that matter.
  5. My diet is more dialed in now.
  6. i know now that most if not all “Newest-greatest-supplements” will not replace plain old hard work, eating and rest.
  7. I have started to incorpate higher rep ranges in my workouts.
  8. I actually plot my workouts in 1 month blocks now. (soon to be 6 weeks)
  9. I now know that this is my medicine, my Shangri-La, MY TIME and cherish that with all my heart.
  10. I now ask more questions and listen a whole lot more .

Foam roller. When I can find it.

And I will repeat what you said about knowing the the newest supps don’t mean jack.

I’m still a baby in lifting years, so I’ve only accomplished #6,9,10 (a little) and a little bit of #8 in my thought processes. I’m just starting to feel I might have a clue.
