Yes, both of those. Is that good or bad? I’ve never really researched the multivitamins very much to be honest, it’s just something I take because I figure it can’t hurt and it’s very cheap.[/quote]

well, they’re both synthetic forms of the vitamins.

  1. typically man-made stuff = worse than nature
  2. studies (observational perhaps) show that these synthetic versions can actually do harm. If you google them you may find more in-depth info. Dr. Loren Cordain “The Paleo Answer” talks in detail about the studies.

choose a multi that contains folate and/or d-alpha (not dl)

Hmm thanks for the info. And looking closer, mine actually does have the d-alpha haha when I read your post with dl-alpha toCopherol and looked at mine, I figured that was the same thing. But yes, it does have folic acid. To be honest though it’s still not something I’m really concerned about.

I noticed when looking at a lot of different vitamins out there that the ones that have folate have in parenthesis after it (as folic acid) Thought that was funny. There should be some kind of guide on the web for what types of vitamins are synthetic and what aren’t or what are the best type of bioavailable vitamins and the trade offs between different kinds of the same vitamin.
