That’s it. The rest comes from diet. Though I do make the occasional whey or casein shake, I try to hit my protein requirement with real food as much as possible. Once in awhile I take the odd fiber pills if things get backed up. But I mean I eat about 10 servings of fruits/veg a day so it’s not often.
Never felt a difference using other supps (whey, creatine, casein), as long as I had enough milk, eggs and meat, I was pretty much OK.
1.Whey
2.Caffeine
3.Creatine

What’s your thoughts on Na-R-ALA? I find this odd as a staple.
- Liquid Fish Oil (cheaper then capsules)
- Vit D
- Creatine (mono and what’s in pre-workout)
- Whey
- ALA
- Caffiene/Basic Pre-workout
- Dextrose
None of them are expensive. Also taking Alpha GPC at the moment because it was super cheap, noticed no effects whatsoever, though. Not sure I “noticed” many obvious things from Zinc and Mag either… but may go back to it for its supposed T benefits.

Stuff I take pretty much everyday
MAG-10
Flameout
Rez-V

Spike Shotgun Orange ![]()

Dont forget the increased uptake of creatine

Ah so to manage glucose metabolism, so I’m guessing you take this with meals rather then just one time? I haven’t really payed attention to Na-R-ALA, but I do hear somethings through the grave vine just nothing that’s made me consider worth getting.

Insulin does this just fine and the fact once your creatine stores are topped off it’s just a matter of maintenance. This would be a pretty shitty reason to invest into Na-R-ALA IMO
What about Beta Alinine?
I bought some years ago and would feel an itchy tingle on my face and neck. Is it actually good for anything?
Do your supps not change at all while dieting vs bulking?
I really like Surge WF while bulking but I also really like IFing and using Humapro pre/post while dieting.

It increases insulin sensitivity and increases glucose uptake in skeletal muscle along with its antioxidant properties.
I see those as pretty good reasons to invest.

I’ve been taking both for the above reasons, is this study based on taking ALA pre/post workout or is any time fine presuming you also use creatine (as I do around workout times, but have been taking ALA first thing in the morning).
edit: I suppose I could just take it pre-workout anyway, I have no rythme or reason to take it first thing, I just do

This study didnt even have the participants exercising, just taken everyday. 3 groups. Creatine/Creatine and Sucrose/Creatine and Sucrose and ALA (1 gram) for a week.
You can use it (100g) as a GDA with meals containing carbs. It would also be beneficial to use a large does with your post workout shake.
John Meadows is a big fan of ALA. He has written about his dosages and timiing.
Surge Workout Fuel / MAG-10 / ANACONDA
FA3 / Flameout / Curcumin (inflammation and eczema)
ELITEPRO Mineral Support
Vitamin D3

I believe the tingling is an issue of time release. I’ve never experienced it with Biotest’s Beta-7, and that’s likely that’s due to their time-released formula.
Whey
Multivit/min (currently MusclePharm Armor V, love it)
BCAAs
Glutamine
Creatine (powder)
Beta Alanine (powder)
…and NoXplode… ugh, that shits addictive

Makes me gag. Honestly one of the worst most overhyped supplements I know of.

Wish Biotest would start looking at a buccal delivery system for Resveratrol. Orally, the bioavailability of the stuff is pretty pitiful, even at their recommended dose.
Have you noticed anything from it? I know it’s not usually considered “feel anything” type supplement, but I’m curious.
