I don’t mind boiled broccoli but placing the florets on paper towel (stems pointing down) after draining really lifts them a lot. Crazy how much water gets drawn out and how much that improves the taste.
If you boil them in super salty water and finish it with olive oil and lemon it is better again.
Steaming also has the added benefit of carrying pesticides away from the food, as opposed to boiling, which is essentially extracting the pesticides with heated solvent and bathing the food in the extract.
Oatmeal with frozen blueberries mixed in in the morning.
Oatmeal lowers cholesterol while blueberries lowers the risk of a heart attack and having diabetes. And on top of that, frozen blueberries are cheaper than fresh while potentially containing MORE nutrients.
They just need to make it carb free and I’m in, haha. Looked at the stuff before and it’s pretty slick. They actually DO make zero carb jelly too: I can only imagine the science experiment behind it
Although on that note, I’ve just been taking that pancake syrup and spreading it super thin on a piece of bread to put on top of my PB sandwiches to create a similar effect.
