I thought this was Murakami’s best book (along with Norwegian Wood), it’s probably in my favourite 5 books ever.
I’ll probably check some of his other books out, just to see what I think. I’ve heard Norwegian Wood is what really made him famous, but that it’s unlike most of his other books, so if you read it first and like it, you might be disappointed with his other works. I’ll have to see what I think.
Re-read the first two books in this trilogy so I could read the new one. Pure fun from Jason Pargin.

Spelling for Marines MCI
Good times.
This one is fun so far.
UPDATE: I give a solid B. Great concept, funny at times, but pages and pages of conversations. Interesting convos, but I expected a bit more action from a book about a guy who inherits a super villain empire from a mysterious uncle who genetically modified cats to be spies. End of book “reveals” and twists were a stretch. Scalzi has a few books like this. Fun reads, but they fall apart at the end.
I went and sampled this on Audible, sounds fun!!! I put it on the list.
See, just when I think i miss school and I should go get a Ph.D you post this and the feeling goes away…
For real. Every few years I get the bug. There’s a Ph.D. program in Applied Economics at Hopkins I’ve almost applied to several times. But ya, nah… I’m good, lol.
*It’s actually an MS. The Ph.D. program I’ve looked at was in Accounting.
I am crazy and want a Mathematics Ph.D. But, I am getting old and lazy and at this point it won’t help me make any more money.
