What Are You Reading?

I’m reading Unwind.

Because I wanna traumatize myself again like I did in middle school reading this book.

Sorta kinda going back and forth from that book to H.P and the Prisoner of Azkaban.

Reading The Dirty Streets of Heaven by Tad Williams.

Rebellion, Rascals, and Revenue: Tax Follies and Wisdom through the Ages by Michael Keen and Joel Slemrod.

  • my econ research club has a strange obsession with tax books. This is the third one in a row. Well written but I’m 75% done with it and there’s no way it’s going to convince me that my family should pay more taxes

Also been reading a lot of papers on scams and ethical decision making. A lot of them manage to build “significant” models (p<.05) with r^2s of less than .3…

This is one of my favorites. Dellilo’s whole body of works is great. I highly recommend zero K by him as well

I’m flying through it. Definitely understand why Infinite Jest fans recommend it. I’ll check out Zero K sometime this year, thanks.

“Germany treats pain wrong” - Robin Nürnberg. Little break from philosophy.

Meditations - Marcus Aurelius

Consider the Lobster and Other Essays by David Foster Wallace

Batman, Earth One, volume 3.

Loved the first two; creative story and wonderful artwork. Was pleasantly surprised to find that the third one came out this past week.

Have you read extreme ownership? I’d like to hear how they compare

I have and liked it as well. I think LST is a bit more in-depth.

I read that a dozen times in high school. Still one of my favorites.

The Adventures of Augie March by Saul Bellow

The criticism on physiotherapy -Andreas Alt and Anna Zwerenz. I’m a little scared but I’ve been warned.

I’m really liking it so far. I think it’s criminal these concepts aren’t taught and emphasized in school.

Echo by Michael C. Grumley Book #6 in the Breakthrough series. Absolutely loved the other 5 books. I don’t know if it was his writing or the editing but I had to make sure it was unabridged it jumped around so much. I expected better…

Just picked up a copy of Do Androids Dream Of Electric Sheep. Something I was always curious to read but just never got around to it.
