Hows the back feeling.[/quote]
I can’t say that I’m in pain but the discomfort is always there. I can’t really arch comfortably. My back feels tight probably from muscles compensating. I’m hoping the chiro can work some back crackin’ magic.
I forgot to note in yesterday’s training that 5 x 5 is boring as shit. Ramping the weight is the only thing that keeps my interest. Plus it works better.
Firstly, when that little 130lb chiro did the flying Bruce Lee on me it was a bit of a jolt.
The good news is that I don’t have a disc injury. It’s my SI joint that is inflamed and a bit out of whack putting pressure on some nerves. Some adjustment sessions, low intensity laser therapy (lasers? really?..seems hokey), ice and Advil are the prescription.
We’ll see how it goes. It seemed a bit too easy. But I’ll admit that my back feels better tonight.
Back is feeling pretty good so it’s time to start ramping up. Took it relatively cautious and easy today.
I’m going to do a modified 5/3/1 which makes it, well, not quite 5/3/1 I guess. Basically, more sets after hitting the top weight for the day in the 3-5 rep range. Didn’t do that today.
Less maxing out.
