Thanks lil. I’m getting into the kneeling jumps. My explosiveness is somewhere between glacial and sluggish so I’m going to keep them in.

Agreed. I’m working on kneeling jump to low box jump, just to get the feel for it. All bodyweight, but I can’t believe how slow I feel.

The yard is littered with colourful maple leaves now. It’s nice.
Of all the single leg options, I probably like these best. Barbell or DB. But they do hurt like a biznatch.
Forward lunges I hate, reverse lunges are better, Bulgarians are OK but I prefer step-ups. Which reminds me that I should build another box (the one I have is a bit low) so I can do step ups again. Used to use aerobic steps in the commercial gym.

Great work on the walking lunges, especially on uneven ground, very nice!

It was a bit of a pain in the ass. Plus when I drop the bar the plates make craters. I need some rubber mats.

My Christmas list is going to look ridiculous this year:

  • 2 or more lengths of 1/2" chain
  • kettlebells, one 40lbs and one 60lbs (actually, I’d like to have a full set for the family…$$$)
  • chalk
  • rubber mats
  • wrist wraps
  • more bands
  • live in nanny / masseuse (might be a stretch)
