Western Union

I went to western union today to send off my money. I used a fake name and a fake address. It was 350 dollars. The fat bitch asked me for photo ID. I told her i didn’t have one on me. She said that the computer for some reason is telling her that she needs to see ID. Then she asked if the person i’m sending to frequently recieves money and she asked me if i always send money. SO anyways, I just took my money and told her ill be back. This is my first time using western union. Why the hell did she ask for ID? and should I use my real name and address next time? It’s domestic by the way.

Under $1000 should not require an ID. Sounds like she just didn’t know what she was doing. Just try another WU branch.

Try another location, if the same thing happens you might let your source know what’s going on. I hate WU…

thanks guys, thats what i plan on doing. but should i use my real name and address?

you really don’t have that much to worry about when using western union but why take the added risk of having your name and address on file? I mean just hypothetically, what if the authorities managed to flag a name that a dealer was using to receive western union funds, and then you had your real name and address on the transaction sheet…wouldn’t be that hard for them to then screen your mail and look for a suspicious package

I guess the point of my post is, limit the use of your real name and address in an effort to protect yourself, if you don’t have to, don’t.

A few years ago I worked as a Western Union operator. I’m not up to speed on their current systems or policies, but the computer used to verify that your address was valid.

You might want to try using a real address, just not your real address.
