I read something along those lines a while back. Basically the idea was that it’s not excess test that causes aggressive behavior, it’s the opposite. Low test levels cause increased aggression, so here was my thinking(next logical step kind of thing): guy takes roids, which lowers or shuts off natural test production, levels in his system drop, experiences ‘roid rage.’ Just my theory, though.

Several studies have implicated high estrogen for roid rage (PMS). High test from injecting exogenous testo causes an aromitization to estrogen, which creates the severe crankiness.
Yeah, its called an eversion. Usually only happens if there is problems with the cardinal ligament. Have you seen the youtuve video of the girl squatting crazy heavy at a comp and she pisses on the floor?
Every other day during P.E (9th grade) we would go down to the weight room (all donated machines from the 80s) and When ever I would do pulldown or leg press Id have 7 or 8 kids watching me… 120 on pull down isnt alot when ur 250lbs lol
So many people get so angry when people are ignorant about weight lifting, just correct people, dont just call them gay fuckers and tell everyone about it for the next 3 years… I know it can get very annoying but jeez… I have alot of hobbies pople know nothing about and they have misconceptions about

You sound like someone who doesn’t get this much. I would be exhausted and pissed off if I took the time to correct every ridiculous comment someone made about what I am eating or how much I lift.
Once you really begin standing out from the norm, these comments can get irritating as they occur regularly. Most people who make these comments aren’t really interested in learning anything either. they are simply talking because they don’t know what else to say to someone who doesn’t fit neatly into a box. Do you really think the sedentary office worker who makes a random comment about how many protein shakes you drink truly cares about listening to your concept of food? She eats strictly for pleasure. She couldn’t possibly understand.
I try to avoid any discussion about weight lifting as best I can unless the person I am speaking with is somewhere near my level of experience.
The hobbies you are involved in probably aren’t worn around your neck for all to see the same way bodybuilding is. All it takes is for someone to look at a serious lifter to know he lifts weights. I doubt “model plane builders” have the same problem.

Good post.
“heavy squats and deadlifts stunt your growth”
made by the same person who said curls are better than chinups

I was benching one day. Struggling, of course, because I totally suck at bench press. A creepy old guy wearing a red t-shirt that was covered with white dried sweat stains came up to me between sets and said “You know, that would be a lot easier if you didn’t bring the bar all the way down to your chest. I know guys that compete and do it that way, but it’s really not necessary” Umm…Thanks.

Speaking of roid rage, I was watching a show on National Geographic channel about testosterone and those assholes said that testosterone doesnt actually cause increased aggressive behavior. It does increase risk taking behavior. It also increases the badness you feel for losing status(so if someone disrespects you youll be more likely to crush their face in) It is also decreases verbal skills and increases spatial whatchamajigger skills. It was a fairly interesting program.

I have taught my wife the proper way to lift, and am kind of an ass about proper form and such. Then when she lifts at the Y without me, every dude with the nuts to actually talk to a woman(there are a lot of teenagers in there) comes over to tell her how she is doing it wrong.
We decided(jokingly) to have a tshirt printed up that says ‘No I don’t want your help’ for when she is lifting. I might do it, but then that would probably look like an invitation to the same assholes.
