I can live 2 months without barbells but barbells during the summer would be nice. My mom isn’t willing to be in the car so i can drive since I only have my permit. I can’t get rides from friends she doesn’t trust them. It’s kinda for the summer. If anything I want to know an optimal workout to increase my big 3 lifts with dumbbells.
I don’t have money bruh can definitely pay $40 for the summer tho at a gym.
Honestly dude, I don’t even know what to say to this.
I have money to pay for 2 months for the gym not for equipment. Simple terms.
This is enough for a cheap barbell and plates on craigslist/facebook market.
What you don’t have is drive.
Thanks for clarifying that, saying “I have the money” makes it sound like you have money, not a forty-dollar two-month allowance.
@flappinit put more work into researching a solution than you have man.
Do whatever you’d do with a barbell with dumbbells. There you go
Craigslist too expensive
Look harder… I got a BB, bench and 300 lbs for $60
Could I ask you to help look? I live in central jersey
What happened to just training with dumbbells, big hills and sandbags for the summer?
Or getting a job to pay for this stuff?
Or any of the other workable solutions offered above?
Nothing
Then why should we offer any of our time or advice to you, when it is clearly wasted?
You’ve been given plenty of ways to follow your “passion” here, and admit to doing none of them.
Do or do not do, there is no try. In other words, no-one cares about your excuses. No-one ever slept with a guy because “he would have been pretty jacked, but unfortunately insert excuse here”. No-one ever gave someone a job because of the skills they would have had if only…
It’s your goals, your results, your life. Stop being such a victim and either do what’s necessary to achieve your goals or move on and find another goal. What would Dave Tate do in your situation? Jim Wendler? Matt Kroc? Do you think they never faced any similar minor inconveniences?
This is a troll
I forget where I read this, but I distinctly remember Matt Kroc talking about how when he was in the Marines, he used to break into the base gym at night through a window, and then lift in the dark so no one would know he was there. Something about working around a crazy schedule. Apparently he got caught, and they just started letting him lift late.
So yeah, Kroc would break into a building and lift in darkness to overcome a challenge. Which is now making me think Kroc would of make an amazing Bane in the next Batman remake…
This was the first story that came to mind when I was typing my reply. Squatting 500+lbs in pitch black, and having to do it silently so no-one could hear.
Edit:
Also, the perfectionist in me really wants to go back and sort the English out in that last post, however it’s late and I’m tired.
College gym, but still awesome. Especially training alone for geared lifting. Definitely could have died.
But for Marine stories, there was the time he had to oversee a secure area and wanted to gain weight, so he would bring in 2 gallons of skim milk and have to drink 1 right away so that he could pee in the first jug while drinking the second.
whelp, this is what I get for not fact checking. Still a cool story. The man (woman? I don’t know what pronoun Is appropriate when talking about the past) is obviously on an entirely different level. Found a decent collection of crazy Kroc stories here Matt Kroc is More Man Than You
…I have no idea how I would react if a man in my unit walked around carrying a milk jug full of urine…
I loved those stories. All the Kroc media was awesome.
Why do you guys keep attacking me.
